T-51 and Daytona. Same neck carve?

I'm wondering if the neck carve on the T51 is substantially similar to the Daytona. I have a Daytona ('94) and I absolutely love the neck on it. I love that its a tic wider and a lot flatter than any F-co. Strat I've ever owned or played. I'm getting the itch to get a T-type axe and, I'm really curious about the T51. If it is to the Tele what the Daytona is to the Strat, and has a neck like my Daytona, well, I might have to have one. Can anyone fill me in?

It'll be a similar comparison. Hamer used a flatter radius than Fender.

Send a message to hamerhead. IIRC he seems to have fondled several T-51 and Daytonas. Tell him Noonan sent ya, he'll know what you need.

Cheers!

The tooling and process for the Daytona and T51 was the same.....only difference is the headstock.

At that time, there were 4 of us doing the final hand carving of the neck profiles so minor variations should be expected.

Currently have 2 T-51s ... one with a fairly FAT maple neck, the other (Rosewood board) is NOT fat and feels wider/ more 'D' shaped.

Out of the 3 Daytonas I have, 2 have Maple necks with 'normal' Daytona size carves and the one with the Rosewood board once again feels wider with more of a 'D' shape.
