Change chord via pedal

As the title explains I basically want to change a keyboard chord via a pedal. I want to get into playing changes and it's not working when I make a loop of the desired chords and try to play over them. I want to dynamically change the chord via a pedal when I want. Any thoughts?

Roland PK-5 bass pedal.

Lerxst and Dirk used to accomplish what you're after using Taurus pedals back in the day.  I think they're using some sort of MIDI implementation like this now:

If you're looking for basically a modern Taurus pedal, check out the one Billy Sheehan uses.

on the rig rundown video from The Winery Dogs he explains the make and model of the one he's using now

and it's supposed to be inexpensive, flexible in application and light/small.
