Montelovesco Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 This is hard, but I must admit that skinny necks aren't of me. So here we go: Up for grabs is a 1981 Prototype in - what, natural mahogany? The guitar is in pretty good condition considering its age. No breaks, no repairs. Some rusty pick guard screws. Some finish crackles on top, some on the back. Some idiot let his moldering iron on the guitar, and that left some marks on the finish. But not through the finish, it did not reach the wood. Guitar is stock beside the the humbucker. The original one did not work (but it IS included), probably one broken coil? I was not able to fix it so i replaced it with a Rio Grane Muy Grande, which might be a bit hot for this guitar. Electronic is working perfectly. The single coil seems to be stock. BTW, this guitar comes with a black sustain bridge... The guitar sounds awesome, the single coil sound alone justifies it to own this guitar. Problem is the neck. Nearly as skinny as the one on the SS 1 I had (and sold). Thinner than my Artists, and WAY thinner than my Monacos neck. Asking 800 Euro OBO w/o shipment or fees. A case is not included, but I got a decent gig bag for shipping. Let my know it the price is too optimistic. Price drop: Sold. Second one: A Washburn JB 100. Some of you know my love for Washys. That one is a US build Custom Shop guitar with SD Duckbuckers. All original with FR and Custom Shop case. The condition is very good, yet not mint. An idiot drilled a second hole for a pin, it has no influence on the sound, of course... Besides that: Just great. Asking 700 Euro OBO Price drop: 650 Euro I put some more photos in my photo bucket: http://s1382.photobucket.com/user/Montelovesco/library/Washburns Please feel free to ask whatever you want to know about the guitars, I am actually not interested in deals, but who knows. Show me what you got... :-)
Caddie Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 Re that hole. DO NOT TOUCH THAT HOLE! That is the MOJO tank refill port. Go to Guitar Center or Sam Ash or Walgreens, ask for a small can of aerosol 6% natural MOJO. At Walgreens Memorial Day Special, MOJO comes with a FREE Hershey Dark Chocolate candy bar. YAY for the rookie at Indy! Cheers! caddie

Montelovesco Posted June 9, 2016 Author Posted June 9, 2016 Price drop bump (or is it a price bump drop?)

Stickin' it in the Floyd would cause finish checking and chips on the butt end of the guitar, so that's out. The logical choice is to put the MOJO refill hose in that empty hole in the butt. Go ahead, ask your luthier. Cheers! caddie

bruce919 Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 I dig the JB model Washburn. The 90's era USA made Washburn are underrated guitars.
Nathan of Brainfertilizer Fame Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 How about a trade for a case of Reese's spread and 10 boxes of cereal? ...just kidding. I think I'd appreciate and enjoy the guitar, but not enough to replace any of my current guitars.
Montelovesco Posted July 27, 2016 Author Posted July 27, 2016 So, the Proto is gone, but the JB 100 still available...
