mathman Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 We have a DVD/Blueray player we used to use. I have a 3rd generation AppleTv. The version before the latest that is out now. I use it mostly to stream movies from iTunes on my mac. Now our TV's have all the apps to stream what we stream. Netflix, and Amazon mostly.

"A what?" "For cassettes..." "A what?" "A walkman, it's about the same size as a ßeta tape..." "A what?" "ßeta tape, it's a bit smaller then a VHS tape" "A what?" "A VHS TAPE.... grrrr... it's about the size of a BOOK!" "A what?" It didn't end well...
Duplex Dave Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 After reading all the replies I'm surprised no one mentioned what we're using. I have a Digi X Stream and a SkyStream box. These streaming boxes can enable you to watch basically everything that's ever been on TV and all movies, even the ones currently in theaters. It's not illegal because it's only streaming, there is no downloading. You can watch live TV, but need some patience if you want to watch local news (not recommended). But, you can pick up almost every sporting event worldwide live. We like the Digi X Stream much better than the SkyStream, you can buy of them both from Amazon. There is a bit of a learning curve, so you need to be able to following instructions to set it up. There is great support online and several forums for users. One more thing, we cut cable once we got the Digi X Stream set up over a year ago. Use the extra $ to get the fastest internet speed. We also run Netfilx, Amazon on all 4 TV's. 3 Samsung Smart TV's 1 Sony Bravio with Sony BlueRay for Netflix/Amazon.
