1972 Deluxe Reverb w/ EV Speaker

Killer '72 Deluxe Reverb up for grabs here...It's a player so if you're looking for a show piece this isn't the one.  I bought it about 6 months ago locally from a music store owner here in the Tampa area...it was his personal amp.  He said it had been re-capped and re-tubed in the last 18 months and hadn't been played much since...I took his word for it, and will continue to do so as I've gigged the amp about a dozen times since then and have had zero issues.

I don't know anymore than that about the history of the amp...but the serial number dates it to 1972 and it's definitely a non-master volume version.  The EV Force speaker REALLY helps out w/ bottom end and sounds great.  The amp is quiet and sounds killer...I'll try to make a video of the amp by itself soon, but here's a live clip from September...the clean tones are:  Artinger Semi Hollow / Deluxe Reverb / Durham Sex Drive (set as always on clean boost) / and Mad Professor Snow White envelope filter...the lead tones add in a Barber Small Fry and Octron 2 here and there...anyway, you can hear it in action at least.  Here's the link:

As you can see the grill cloth needs replacing (cost about $100 for a good tech to do).  There's one knob which is broken off on one side see pics...Other than that the tolex looks pretty good w/ just a few small gauges.  The preamp tubes look light they MIGHT be original...they are all RCA's.  The Power tubes and the rectifier are all Electro Harmonix.  Reverb and trem are both very strong and work as they should.

The price is $1350 PLUS any shipping and paypal fees.  ABSOLUTELY FIRM!  I feel like that's a very fair price for a '72...I see late 70's pull boost model DR's at similar prices and the early seventies models are far superior IMO...plus the EV really adds a nice touch and some value.

**I live in Tampa but drive all over Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and Alabama for work...so a Southeast deal in person is something that could happen easily.  IF I DO SHIP IT I PREFER TO TAKE IT TO FEDEX AND LET THEM PACK IT THEMSELVES.

Anyway, here are the pics...THE ONLY TRADES I'm interested in:  An ES335 type possibly...Heritage, Gibson, vintage Ibanez, etc.  OR a GigRig G2 or Pro 14 pedal switcher...that's it.

See my other threads for a killer Kirn Barnbuster tele and some nice pedals.

Thanks!  It's a really good one too...Negotiable to a degree if anybody is interested and I could POSSIBLY be interested in a trade involving high end pedals plus cash.

Great playing Jake. Is that the usual place downtown? I've never been there. Looks like a cool venue.

Thanks brother...that's The Getaway in St Pete...coolest place in town in my opinion.  It's right on the bay over on Gandy...b/t the Gandy bridge and 4th St.  We gig there once a month...will be back Jan 6th!

Thank you sir...Somebody will be very happy w/ this one.  It's a killer deluxe.  No late 70's pull boost master volume crap here.  I've compared it to a real deal 65 deluxe and actually like this one better w/ the EV.

I bet. I love those old EVs....I have a mint coffee can alnico in a 1X12 that is the king of the high-power Alnicos....I bet your Deluxe just rips....

bump....i keep going back and forth on selling this or not.  Such a killer amp...It's just that my Carr Rambler pretty much does the same thing and I don't play big enough places to run stereo LOL.  I'm in Tampa / St. Pete area of Florida and get all around the southeast for work and wouldn't mind throwing the deluxe in the truck w/ me and bringing it to you if you are in AL, GA, SC, or FL.  If you're interested hit me up!

My first "real" amp was this setup.  A '76 Deluxe Reverb with EV 12. Monster amp. Add a distortion pedal and you can do anything. If I were not 1500 miles away.....  GLWTS!
