hamerhead Posted April 19, 2017 Author Posted April 19, 2017 Jeez Steve, you'll try anything. Were you the little kid from the 'Life' cereal commercials?

I can honestly say I've never heard a bass sound quite so much like a sitar before. And I want some of whatever these guys are on. They gotta be trippin' balls.

Yeah, to be fair Kammerer builds real guitars that have an unconventional look. Read the stuff on Talkbass and apparently Wish owners understand that they are getting some wood that has been rough-cut to resemble an instrument. They then cheerfully strip them, plane the fretboards, refinish, pull the nails and beetle carcasses out of the wood, build new bridges... In the meantime Mrs Polara has a Squire Jaguar bass that was $199 new with gig bag, is shiny and pretty, plays great, and is good enough to record with. Diff'r'nt strokes.

hamerhead Posted April 19, 2017 Author Posted April 19, 2017 Sitar = nails on a chalkboard, a cat's tail in the door, any country star 'singing', etc.

Kammerer makes consistent looking instruments, and Vintage Guitar gave a favorable review to one of his acoustics. I still want to try one out. Okay then, Steve - you're the other one!
