Who's found a cool way to emulate 12 sting bass with a 4 string?

From the "Jeremy" part, to DuG Pinnick, and Mr. Peterson?

EHX POG with some detuning?

Software magic?

Spill it.

Tried it.

Actually, sounded surprisingly accurate!  Some of the tracking was a bit soft, but I think that was more the compressor.  It would sound great through a bass amp AND a guitar amp that way.

That is awesome.

Is it range dependant? Like the boss octave- set a threshold for where it stops working? A quick look at demo videos looks like it's a level for the overall octave-up, and a presence control for said level.

i would love to hear the Jeremy intro, and "fool you" by kings x ( or anything really, haha) with that setup.

in any case, thank you for the experiment ;)

It is less dramatic on the Low E string/lower frequencies.  It didn't really "fart out", but loses some of the clarity.  It sounded clearer run through a guitar amp w/2x12s, but also sounded better through my 4x10 H ported cab v. the 1x15 cab.
