Guest galejt Posted March 23, 2005 Posted March 23, 2005 or BCR burst. Whatever name you prefer. Are there top back side photos to be had for chambered Korina intruments. Something about a cognac finish? Thanks in advance.Jim
gwayne Posted March 23, 2005 Posted March 23, 2005 Jim, Here's mine. I think this shot shows the color (of my Elite) the truest. This is the "lightest" version of this color I've seen and it has the most subtle burst. Most of the BCR's had more red at the edges. MikeC's Standard is divine I tell ya. Hopefully he'll see this and post.
Buster Posted March 23, 2005 Posted March 23, 2005 Gladly...here's my BCR Burst...I still am having problems getting the true color of this beauty...it's really hard to photograph...but I've included a BCR taken one here...Buster FWIW...this picture shows the more yellow center...in reality, depending on the light, it really is more red throughout the whole guitar...but it is STUNNING!
Guest pirateflynn Posted March 23, 2005 Posted March 23, 2005 Hey Buster. If you ever decide to sell that beautiful guitar let me know!
Buster Posted March 23, 2005 Posted March 23, 2005 Sorry pirateflynn, not a chance...bbbaaawwwaaaahhhhh...I simply can't put it down...it's best guitar I've ever played...I'm even contemplating a complete shift to new Hamers from my Wolfgang collection...I just can't say enough about this guitar...it's only the second Hamer I've ever owned...but I can easily become a total convert...
Mike_C Posted March 23, 2005 Posted March 23, 2005 Thanks Gwayne taht Monaco Elite is pretty sweet too. Here is the one that started it all for me. and the twins which followed. and in action at the last Hamer Open house. Photos by Btmn

gwayne Posted March 23, 2005 Posted March 23, 2005 Here is the one that started it all for me. and the twins which followed. Those Standards ARE the standard!!! Love 'em.
specialized2 Posted March 23, 2005 Posted March 23, 2005 Here's a 2002 chambered Elite with the darkburst finish (this is the ognac one i believe...) OUT IN
BCR Greg Posted March 23, 2005 Posted March 23, 2005 Here's a 2002 chambered Elite with the darkburst finish (this is the ognac one i believe...)OUT IN This guitar is Mistakeburst! LOL We went to the factory to check on our guitars, and wires were crossed as to what EXACTLY was BCR Burst(a new guy was spraying guitars, and the demo body... ...had gone missing). This guitar had mistakenly been sprayed tobacco around the edges, so we had them overshoot it with BCR Burst to blend it. It turned out so well that Ricky2 saw it and fainted, leading to HIS custom order in Mistakeburst as well!... We ended up calling it Antique Darkburst. Ricky's is even darker on the edges and the burst is less present. When I picked the top, I had no idea that it would end up one of my favorite guitars. Some times you win....
Mike_C Posted March 23, 2005 Posted March 23, 2005 So under the current naming conventions Ricky2's guitar would be a combination of Tobacco burst and 59 darkburst. Antique burst seem a fitting name.
silentman Posted March 23, 2005 Posted March 23, 2005 This is BCR Burst. The back is Korina and it was shot in cognac.
Guest galejt Posted March 23, 2005 Posted March 23, 2005 SilentmanDo you have a shot of the back? Thanks,Jim
silentman Posted March 23, 2005 Posted March 23, 2005 Jim, I'll shoot a couple tonight. I don't think Greg ever shot any of the back that I have gotten from him.
Jorge Posted March 24, 2005 Posted March 24, 2005 Do you have a shot of the back? ...I believe Poe has, I hope he does not post it, LOL.
phoenix Posted March 24, 2005 Posted March 24, 2005 Here's a back shot of vintage korina with a cognac burst. Not chambered as you requested, although I know of hollowbody standard Jol is doing. The factory told me that blending the edges on a one-piece body is one of the most impossible things they have done because any overlap will show. HAMER!
JJ Paul Posted March 24, 2005 Posted March 24, 2005 Phoenix - I have to smile...I saw Zep's last concert ever in Zürich (Switzerland).. same tour as the poster hanging behind your Standard, I think it was just one date after Münich. It was my first concert ever - what a blast...Thank you for the fond memories. If you ever want get rid of that poster pls drop me a line!"JJ" Paul
phoenix Posted March 24, 2005 Posted March 24, 2005 I was there for 2 months as usual back then and rarely saw americans. Suddenly they were everywhere. The hot italian chicks in my class told me about it and didn't know who Zep was. Most definately the best $3 I ever spent for non-assigned seating. 2 months later Bonham died and the dream was over . I went back to the ticket booth and begged for one of the posters they were throwing away. Saw Santana the next night there and he might have been better. Gadzooks!
silentman Posted March 30, 2005 Posted March 30, 2005 Jim, Here are some shots of the back. Your e-mail was bouncing.
