Ham Rex Posted June 23, 2022 Posted June 23, 2022 Not affiliated but this appears to me to be a pancake LP in Wine Red. I know very little about LPs. https://reverb.com/item/55180910-gibson-1976-les-paul-custom-1976-wine-red
HamerCustomEr Posted June 23, 2022 Posted June 23, 2022 I'm assuming that the pictures of the guitar are showing green leaves, but at first glance, it looks to me like mustard. "I think that it was Colonel Mustard in the Jam Room with the Pancake LP!"

BoogieMKIIA Posted June 23, 2022 Posted June 23, 2022 I have a “pancake” 1973 LP Deluxe, put full size humbuckers in years ago. My #1 guitar, plays and sounds great. I can’t believe the prices. The pancake body, 3 piece neck and 3 piece top, weight, etc. have been panned for years. Quite different than a real 50s LP. If you get a chance to play one, do so and form your own opinion. As much as I love mine, if I didn’t have it I would buy something else at that price.
Ham Rex Posted June 24, 2022 Author Posted June 24, 2022 I don't know much about Gibsons and I wasn't sure if the price was high or not. Thanks for the education.
topekatj Posted June 24, 2022 Posted June 24, 2022 A secondary observation of no real importance regarding the case shown with this instrument: Was the lining on the mid-70’s Gibson cases really that fuchsia/ bright? I have a circa 1980 LP and the lining is burgundy colored. I wonder if the tint is a bit enhanced on the Reverb photos.
