Dave Scepter Posted September 3, 2022 Posted September 3, 2022 I don't ever recommend any products but I highly recommend these… they DO make a difference.... plus they're on sale! https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/PTT1--pure-tone-ptt1-pure-tone-mono-output-jack-nickel?main_web_category_rollup=4/924/925/1244&utm_source=google&utm_medium=organicpla
Gabe Posted September 3, 2022 Posted September 3, 2022 Yes, I have put one in my Stratocaster, and there is no crackle anymore. However it is more difficult to remove the plug, as it is held very tight. Gabe 😀

Jakeboy Posted September 3, 2022 Posted September 3, 2022 I promise I am not being a smart ass…but what difference do these particular output jacks make? Did I mention how much I despise the Hamer barrel Jack?

Probably not recommended if you're one of those guys that pull the cord out from the wire

JGale Posted September 4, 2022 Posted September 4, 2022 They work great in speaker cabinets as well. No floppy poppy.
Jakeboy Posted September 4, 2022 Posted September 4, 2022 Ok. Cool. Thanks for the heads up, @Dave Scepter!

I replaced one in my 2x12 cabinet and between the locking & the Pure Tone it's cheap reassurance knowing my speaker cable is solid... can you imagine what can happen to your old tube amp without a load? 😳

The bass cab's jack was loose AF and the sound pressure kept pushing the plug out just enough to lose signal, had to duct tape the shit out of that plug to the cab.
