No affiliation.  IIRC, didn't a lot of Hamer builds get postponed and/or never made because the Hamer Workforce got 'borrowed' a lot by other entities (like Guild) at New Hartford, just before FMIC shut the whole thing down?

Edited to add:  The 'GSR' in the title apparently stood for 'Guild Special Run', and not many were made according to this website...there may be more info elsewhere online:

I’d want to check with our guys who were actually in the New Hartford facility on 2013, but when I was visiting the shop in the fall of 2013, they had a Duane Eddy model and I believe several of these guitars in the finish area being prepped.  My understanding is that these were built and pre-assembled overseas (Asian built, if I recall) and then the “white wood” bodies and necks were finished in New Hartford and final assembly and setup took place in CT.  It would certainly explain the price…

It wouldn't surprise me if FMIC 'diluted' it's products like that...hopefully someone who was working at NH at that time can add more info.

Whomever scored the Dave’s guitar may have hit the jackpot at $1500 — there are three others (NOS) on Reverb listed at $3700 (one listing is 6 years old!). Oddly, both sellers are Canadian.

If I was motivated (I'm not, I'm too broke), I'd ask the sellers if their prices are in Canadian dollars (current exchange rate is approx. US$1 = CAD $1.37).

I have an interesting and similar guitar. Chris fleming put it together, a one off.  Maybe just for fun or a prototype or something.  Those pickups whatever they are called are pretty good
