topekatj Posted March 12, 2023 Posted March 12, 2023 Nice top, high price? https://slo.craigslist.org/msg/d/atascadero-hamer-gretsch-electric/7591104750.html
dhuber Posted March 15, 2023 Posted March 15, 2023 That guitar reminds me of the last Super Pro Willcut had. I think I was watching it for a year and finally called them. They told me it had just sold. I’m wondering if that’s the same guitar.

Willcutt always had a robust stock of nice and custom Hamers - they were the largest Hamer dealer in the world for well over a decade, and up until the end. They bought out the lion’s share of Hamers from the warehouse in that 2008-2010 period, if I recall correctly.
django49 Posted March 15, 2023 Posted March 15, 2023 I ended up getting 5 Hamers from them outta that warehouse stash. Not that one. IIRC, one did come with a certificate saying "Brown Sugar". But my memory might be failing me.

That Superpro in the picture is definitely not that finish. It’s the stock Amberburst.

That was on the certificate for the "Ultimate Duo-Tone" I got (indirectly) from Steve. Helluva guitar. Finish applied to a softwood top. I sorta miss it EXCEPT that it was the inspiration for my Shishkov. BTW, the Duo-Tone 12ver was in action last night with a group take on Hotel California.....
