Jakeboy Posted May 11, 2023 Posted May 11, 2023 I am selling this 2005 Taylor for a friend. This is a minty fresh guitar that freaking plays fantastic. I don’t know shite about them, but he brought it out for a recording session and it sounded great. Taylor playability. Excellent shape, non-smoking home. No issues and I’ll pack it well. $1500 OBO plus actual shipping. More photos available.
Jakeboy Posted May 12, 2023 Author Posted May 12, 2023 My buddy is a motivated seller since he took delivery of a new guitar today lol. Price dropped to $1500.

django49 Posted May 13, 2023 Posted May 13, 2023 Nice demo. But I still need to sell off a handful more things before dragging anything else home. GLWTS.
HamerCustomEr Posted May 13, 2023 Posted May 13, 2023 On 5/11/2023 at 11:14 AM, Jakeboy said: I don’t know [much] about them The Taylor T5 has a larger body than the newer T5z. It also has a 15" radius instead of 12" radius. The electronics are the same in both: five way switch on the top edge choosing between and combining a body sensor, a concealed stacked neck humbucker, and a visible bridge humbucker. Here is some more explanation from the old Taylor website about the subdivisions of the original T5: T5-S Chrome sets the tone for the T5-S, in the form of the tuners and pickup hardware. A spruce top meets up with the sapele body, while microdot inlays run the fretboard. Available in a variety of natural, solid, sunburst, translucent, and metallic finishes. T5-S1 A maple top is the defining difference on the T5-S1. Maple adds a bit more sizzle, creating a slightly brighter tone overall. Dot inlays and chrome hardware are standard features. Available in a variety of natural, sunburst, and translucent finishes. T5-C The spruce-top T5 Custom is finished in upscale gold trim (except blue-stained models) and features our intricate mother-of-pearl "Artist" inlays. Available in a variety of natural, solid, sunburst, translucent, and metallic finishes. T5-C1 A figured flame maple top adds another flavor of tone and another dimension in looks. The mother-of-pearl "Artist" inlay is standard, along with gold hardware (except blue-stained models). Available in a variety of natural, sunburst, metallic, and translucent finishes. T5-C2 Exotic tops say it all on the T5-C2. Koa comes standard, but "standard" is hardly the way to describe this rare, radiant hardwood. Other exotics are available from time to time too, including Macassar ebony, cocobolo, rosewood, and others. Available in natural with shaded edge.
Jakeboy Posted May 13, 2023 Author Posted May 13, 2023 Don’t be afraid to make a reasonable offer if you think this is too high.
