1997 Studio tuner question

One of my tuners on my 1997 Studio is getting extremely difficult to turn. I know they’re Schaller tuners, but what is the exact model I’m looking for and does anyone sell single tuners or do I have to buy all 6? Thanks.

If you haven't done it already, de-string that particular tuner temporarily and turn the tuner knob in both directions several times (if not more), and see if that does anything.

So, how does one go about lubing a Schaller M-6 tuner, which is usually the tuner found as stock on a '97 Studio, since it's a sealed/cast housing tuner?

Remove the backplate or squirt Teflon lube down the post shaftbhIIapd.jpeg

Doing it from the top is easiest. Just a couple drops of 3M or gun oil. Remember the tighter you tighten the button the firmer the turning will be. So find the "spot"

Beavis and Butthead would have a field day with these otherwise brilliant pieces of advice.
