ChugD Posted October 10, 2023 Posted October 10, 2023 Here is the background. Pandemic hits, I am work from home. I hadn't played guitar in 25 years, so now is the time! I figured this is the amp I should have but it turned out to be way too impractical for my office and I went with a Fractal setup and powered monitors which I could dual use with my computer. I got the amp brand new in April of 2020 but it was made in 2016 and had sat in the shop all of that time....probably because these are super expensive. I have never shipped an amp this big and heavy. It is built like a tank. That said, I would offer it up locally first in Northern Delaware. I can meet part way if you are looking at a long haul. I am sure it has demo time and I probably played it for less than 10 hours. There are some light scratches from the shop that aren't all that apparent unless in the right light. They can be wet sanded and buffed to look better or have it fixed. This amp has always been covered. Comes with cover and footswitch. I can do $3400 which is less than a plain jane new one. Paypay or Venmo as a friend.

peedenmark7 Posted November 9, 2023 Posted November 9, 2023 Beautiful ! Wish I ordered wood cabs for my F50 piggyback rig before the Gibson take over.
tbonesullivan Posted November 9, 2023 Posted November 9, 2023 Oh wow, definitely Pre-Gibson (I kid!) but also with the original designed transformers, from before Magnetic Components / Marvel Electronics closed its doors. That's a fantastic color, and a GREAT look. Those flamed maple cabinets are like a $1500 upcharge. Good luck with the sale! They are great amps, with a ton of versatility, though they definitely are quite complex inside due to all the switching, silencing, etc that has to happen to put that much in one amp.
stedge Posted November 10, 2023 Posted November 10, 2023 I love MB amps. They are versatile, can go clean to wherever you want, and with the wood look great. I have a couple old ones - a IIc+ and a IIa, the first Imbuya and the second Koa. Heavy as all get out, but no more than a super reverb or many other great amps. They are beautiful amps. The one advertised here is more so, and wayyy flexible. As for hard to figure out? Not really. This s&*# aint rocket science. GLWS. Someone will get a hugely capable amp.

Just has something, takes pedals well and heavy = good iron. Haven't tried the MKV, lots of flexibility. That one is a looker!
ChugD Posted December 20, 2023 Author Posted December 20, 2023 I can try to ship this but it is a heavy beast.
