crunchee Posted October 13, 2023 Posted October 13, 2023 Can't imagine them doing an entire tour in support of the album though, not at their age: ALBUM REVIEW: The Rolling Stones Regain Their Shine on ‘Hackney Diamonds’ - No Depression BTW, this is how I find out about new music nowadays, via 'subscriptions' online. Back in the day, all I had to do was turn on the radio. Now get off my lawn!
Disturber Posted October 18, 2023 Posted October 18, 2023 Great album. The Stones taught me rock N roll. I was not stoked about Blue & Lonesome. This new album rocks. Love it.
Steve Haynie Posted October 18, 2023 Posted October 18, 2023 I like the Blue & Lonesome album. To me it was what they should have been doing instead of the albums that preceded it.
Jakeboy Posted October 18, 2023 Posted October 18, 2023 Blue and Lonesome is incredible and authentic Chicago blues by men who studied, loved, and played it for decades. The new album sounds great on the 3 tracks I have heard so far. Ronnie says they are gonna tour to support it in the USA and he also said there will be a Faces reunion with Rod and Kenny.
Steve Haynie Posted October 18, 2023 Posted October 18, 2023 The Faces reunion is more of an event I want to see.
tommy p Posted October 18, 2023 Posted October 18, 2023 I thought Bigger Bang was OK, but the last Stones album I would actually call good was Tattoo You. I'll listen to the new one with very low expectations based on what I've heard so far, and hope to be pleasantly surprised.
