BCR Greg Posted October 21, 2005 Posted October 21, 2005 I've updated the bench Reports on the website, check them out on the "repair" section. Here's a little taste, with a familiar owner....HectorP's Pig
MrGuitarguy Posted October 21, 2005 Posted October 21, 2005 I've never tried that trem. Does it stay in tune well? I'd like a strat style trem that can be abused ala Ritchie Blackmore and EVH. (Read "dives") I still think that locking Fender trem and LSR roller nut/Sperzel combo worked great. Greg, you know this stuff better than I do. What's your advice?I'd love to hear that guitar with those pickups!
BCR Greg Posted October 21, 2005 Author Posted October 21, 2005 ABM trem, locking tuners, good strings and you are happy.
belgian Posted October 21, 2005 Posted October 21, 2005 ABM trem, locking tuners, good strings and you are happy. And Hamer had that standard on the T62. But damn you're good at this !!!
MrGuitarguy Posted October 21, 2005 Posted October 21, 2005 Will an ABM trem drop in to replace a fender amercan standard trem or are the poles' spacing different?
MOJO Posted October 22, 2005 Posted October 22, 2005 excellant job Greg!! very cool{i'd have done pickup bezels like thishttp://www.thornguitargallery.com/images/027-top.jpg ( maybe ebony or koa) but that just my taste}looks great either way
BCR Greg Posted October 22, 2005 Author Posted October 22, 2005 That would have shot the budget. Chris keeps me busy, so I have to stay on task so that he'll keep sending my guitars.I like the look of the pickups right into the guitar, and they certainly sound great like that.
