cswilder Posted March 21, 2006 Posted March 21, 2006 I'm beset on all sides by asses who won't pay their outstanding invoices so I'm going to throw this out there in case anyone is shopping for one. It's a 4 digit Sunburst serial number 0316. The pickup rings have been replaced and a brass nut installed. Otherwise, it's all original. The case is likely a replacement, but fits so well and is so old I'm not sure. Has anyone else seen a Sunburst case with no Hamer logo and silver piping? There some minor fretwear and a few dings, but it's in remarkably good condition for the age. It sounds great too. It has the original Grover Bullseye tuners. I wish the neck was bigger, but it would definately qualify as medium. I'm looking for $1500 shipped or I'd rather keep it. Email me for a complete series of pics. Thanks, Chris

Thanks for the clarification. I have always assumed that the term referred to the second section of the serial number format. I leapt to that conclusion based on having never seen a four-digit serial in my (limited) exposure to vintage Hamers. Perhaps you could send me an authentic four digit standard to examine as an educational aid.
