I think the new ones were a custom order item first before they debuted at the NAMM show. Custom order ones came with the keystone shaller tuning machines ala a Korina Vector. The catalog version has the regular shaller tuning machines. Mine is one of the few that has a one piece body and the only one to have an extra long pickguard.

Mike try adjusting the pickup height on the Monaco superpro you might be surprised how much of a change that will make. As for the Junior change away. Welcome and let us know how it works out. BTW you have two excellent guitars.
