Nice Zulu! I have one in B&W, with a banana headstock and love it. I like the one in question in this thread because it's a B&W zebra and different than the Zulu finish. Wish I could afford it. *pout* It's FLOYDED! I worship at the altar of Floyd Rose.

OH SNAP! I have been PWN3D! (Or however those kooky netgen kids say it...) Junior won't answer my actual posts. He just throws out halfassed insults that don't even offend their "victim". I kind of like being likened to a Sasquatch! Thanks Junior! Hamertek- I am harmless. (except when provoked by moronic trolls, and that's not you by any stretch...) Steve- glad you are diggin' the Triumph! Rik Emmett forever.

BlackPlague- I posted to you a very sincere and honest assessment of your stuff for sale very early on and you conveniently chose to ignore it. THEN, someone did a little detective work and exposed you for the shyster that the facts show you to be. (Hinting that you paid $450 for a guitar that cost you, what, $135, your "$150" volume pedal, etc...) I also pointed out that this group of people are well informed about gear, and all have well honed BS detectors and if you are going to post BS you should be prepared to have some produce lobbed at you. You kept it up, and my prediction was correct. As for "to your face", come on down to Tennessee and talk to me, slick. I'll be happy to meet you. As for your "$150" volume pedal, here is my offer- I'll send you 1/2 of a twenty dollar bill. When it gets here and I see that it works, you'll get the other 1/2.

OK, straight talk- You have popped in a few times now with unrealistsic expectations for what your stuff might go for. This is a tough (and very knowledgable) room to play. When you put yourself out there in that way, it's reasonable to expect to get a few tomatoes thrown. This group of people tends to pass gear along from hand-to-hand at less than "market price" as a gesture of goodwill within the community and to keep the good gear in IN the community and out of God-knows-who's hands. To come in here looking to get top dollar for pedestrian gear is going to get you picked on. Sorry, but it is. To give you a feel, I sold a nicer version of that same guitar at HFC awhile back (OK, it was four years ago) for $200, w/hsc AND DiMarzio Super Distortions in it. That's about what you could expect for yours on a really good day. Used cables and used straps are basically without value. I see straps change hands here, gratis, frequently. You were trying to sell your Morley pedal for THAT short of what you would pay at Musician's Fiend for a brand-new-warrantied-in-the-box one. Hmmm... Used one, no warranty, pad missing $60, or brand-new-warrantied-in-the-box one for $69? Guess which way I would lean? I am not trying to hurt your feelings with any of this, just to hit you with a dose of reality. You might want to do a little homework before listing things. Oh, and thicken your skin just a bit...

How funny. Might as well say "I hate my guitar. Here, YOU buy it!"

Hey Gary- HAPPY HAPPY! And many more... -
Add a Floyd and black binding and that could pass for Mobster's guitar. I'd be in love if the head was turned back around and it had rosewood instead of ebony. (Ebony makes my fingers HURT! Seriously...)

Cheap Trick, seconded with Metallica to a point.

I love this story! (Except for the "getting stolen" part..) From 1976, when I sent off for every catalog and brochure in GP Magazine, Hamer had a "halo" effect for me. Something about pics of those early Standards and that weird Rick Nielsen guy increased my yearning for a Hamer. That early brochure is why I bought the first Cheap Trick album when it came out in 1977, starting another lifelong obsession with me. Spring 1980, I saw a trans cherry Sunburst (dot neck) at the local mecca known as Lynn's Guitars. Only slightly used and priced at $600. I played it and knew it was THE guitar for me. Period. With a little wheeling and dealing, I took it home, owing Lynn's a couple hundred dollars, paid off waiting tables in a mom & pop Italian eatery. That guitar had the headstock broken and repaired twice, then was stolen in Fall 1984. I still want it back. *sigh*

That guitar in trans cherry, no burst, would be nirvana (NOT the heroin addict band) for me. *swoon*

One Way Ticket To Hell... And Back
wyldbil replied to elduave's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
L.O.T.T.- Thanks for saying what I was trying to, but in a more succinct fashion. PTL will always be MY Darkness album. Well, unless Darkness V3 picks up the rawk a bit. -

Well ya'll know I am the loudest proponent for The Darkness around here. I got OWTTHAB today and am... underwhelmed. Can you say OVERPRODUCED? Seems they forgot how to RAWK somewhere along the way, and the album is teeming with OTT Queen sounds they no doubt learned how to duplicate by working with Roy Thomas Baker. Let's see- the title track is pretty good, but has too much crap dubbed in. (KILL that effin' sitar ferchrissake!) Knockers is a pretty good tune as is Bald. Hazel Eyes was SUCH a great live tune, only to have a wet blanket of production and extraneous garbage thrown into the album version. Good thing a I have a pretty good boot of the show I saw them play in 6/04, including that song. There are a couple of ubiquitous Aerosmith-y radio ballads in there, and a couple more lukewarm fairly nondescript tunes. This album may grow on me, but my initial impression listening to it while stuck in traffic for an hour on the way home is one of overall disappointment. Again, my biggest complaint is that it doesn't RAWK enough- not nearly as much as the first album and all its B-sides. After a complete play and part of another one, I took it out and put in Motorhead's singles collection CD to cleanse my palate and improve my mood. (This worked, by the way!) Great band- what happened? -

I started to suggest Goo Gone, but isn't that the same thing as "That orange peel shit"? You may be down to naphtha now. THAT'll get it off. (I believe it will, anyway...) I hate using naphtha, but sometimes it's the only solution. -
Say, is that baloney I smell fryin'? The "Ed Roman Bass" Harmony Central review What is it with BCR Greg and pancakes, anyway? Spidey (Especially the nekkid one- is that really Joe?)

Gene, that is SO close to my idea of perfect. My only beefs are the gold hardware and reverse headstock. Nickel (chrome?) and forward banana, and that would be my vision of PERFECT. That might be the fly in the ointment- getting "x" number of people to agree on the exact same specs.

Best thing you've gotten from an HFCer
