  1. I have the 3 hole version. Thanks for the info. I just got a BBQ yesterday from Travis and it really rocks in my Hamer Chap Custom. I might need to swap it out for a test ride in the Dutone! I know what ppl say about some Piezo units sounding bad. I sometimes cringe when I hear a pro performer with a terrible, tinny acoutic tone. But, I dial mine in to sound quite realistic and I'm pretty picky when it comes to tone. Anyway, the Dutone is nice for that but man it can really rock too (high gain metal). I'm impressed!!
  2. I just got a Dutone in the mail today. It's a nice concept and guitar. I really like it. Is there a manual online and/or anything I should know about the jacks? One is a stereo jack? I haven't looked inside yet. Has everyone kept the stock JB/59 PU combo or has anyone found something better? Maybe the Rio bbq/Texas combo. Maybe the bbq might be too dark though, not sure. Maybe one of those Rio single coil sounding humbuckers for the neck? Anyone ever try those? Thanks for the advice!!
  3. It's artwork!
  4. >>>Plus, he's dead and what's the point in bashing someone who hasn't posted in years and isn't here to defend himself?>>> LOL!!
  5. What frets were stock on an 89 Chap Custom and what was stock on Daytonas? Thanks!!
  6. Agree! I'm going to listen to that one tonight. Are their other cd (s) as good as the first?
  7. My Trans Blue Ash Daytona is about 8lbs. I wish it was a little lighter but it sounds great!
  8. How heavy was that seafoam green Daytona?
  9. Well, like I said, I was surprised about how close it came but not close enough for this Humbucker fiend. EveryStrat type guitar I ever had was real-humucker equipped and just look how far that's got me in the music biz!!
  10. I have an Ash Daytona that I NEED to put a real humbucker into. The SD Hot Rails is actually quite surprising in that it can almost get that full humbucker sound but I need the real thing because I'm just too picky about it. My first thought was to put an SD Custom Custom. I have one in my Flame maple body Chap Custom and it's just great. To me, both the Ash and the maple have some similar sound characteristics in that they both have incredible sustain and do not lack in the highs department. The Custom Custom would seem to match the APS-1's well as they all would have Alnico 2 magnets and somewhat subdued in the teble department. How does the BBQ compare to the SD Custom Custom? Thanks as usual for the help!!
  11. Greg...you SUCK!!! Just too nice!!!!What a collection!!
  12. I think it should be fine. Especially since some of these other guitars are probably being sold to finance Hamers!
  13. The auction's already been pulled! Another rockstar strikes again! Just kidding Jack. Hopefully, you'll find the one you're looking for. If not, Bill and Becky are waiting for your call.
  14. That's the way to do it and then you're assured of getting the real deal. Plus, you don't have to be a rock star to order from good ol' Bill and Becky! While you're at it you just might order some of his cool guitar cables.
  15. Man, this board is better than the other one! Seriously, I think it was just a joke and I don't think there is any type of conspiracy theory going on. Lately though, some of the posts have been a little on the harsh side.
