  1. Yo pirate....Yeah, but when she's hanging upside down they look quite natural!
  2. I think that's Hardhearted Bill's Mirage!!
  3. some stuff free... some paid for...killer hot sauce /strap locks from Phoenix Steve, good deals from HHB and Morningstar, my favorite blue Ash Daytona and great Toyota advice from Mobster, incredible advice from Toby for my daughters taking the SAT, awesome Scorpions tour stuff from bay area Rob (it's been awhile and I can't remember exactly - sorry), Peter for laying off a couple Hamers that he could have outbid me on, Rodney (jettster) and Kevin (Jack Butler) for a good time, whoever I got my Duotone from (it's been awhile and I can't remember exactly - sorry), and great advice from about everyone for about everything!! Doh!! didn't really read the original post, sorry, there's some gear in there too!
  4. I've had my Rocktron Multivalve multi FX rack unit for many years. I've never been tempted to switch...yet! It's like a Replifex but with a 12ax7 tube you can run the signal through to warm up the signal (it actually works). I need to swap out the tube and see how it changes things. I haven't yet because they put that white/clear silicone goop all over it so it makes it hard to get out!
  5. Marc, Preach it bro! That's what I have, an Alvaez- Yairi DY-62C. Love it! Stopped me for looking for any other acoustics. The Seagulls are a great value if you like the wider fretboard. That's what I had b4 but I just couldn't get use to it.
  6. Try an ALvarez-Yairi. They seem to still have the quality.
  7. My condolences to you & your family. I already said a prayer for you and your loved ones. Take care.
  8. They can't come up with anything new anymore. They're all remakes!! I always make sure to tell my daughters "that's not something new, that's what I listened to when I was your age!"
  9. I shot the Sheriff - EC My most hated song. Basically, most Led Zep, Jimi etc. that they overplay. I remember listening to the radio as a kid and they'd get into the deeper tracks but not anymore. Now that ppl DL by song then those deeper tracks will become even deeper because they mainly just DL the most popular stuff they hear on the radio - a vicious cycle!
  10. Are Valvetech amps Cathode Biased?
  11. Austin, I agree; Instrumental: Steve Morse - High Tension Wires Dream Theater: Images and Words, Awake Scorpions: Lovedrive VH: VH1 Liz Phair: Whitechocolatespaceegg Rush: Pictures... Sammy Hagar: Standing Hampton Iron Maiden: Number of the Beast, Piece of Mind Ozzy: Blizzard, Diary No Doubt: Trajik Kingdom MSG: MSG UFO: Obsession REM: Green, Auto for the ppl Journer: Infinity etc. etc.
  12. I have the 3 hole version. Thanks for the info. I just got a BBQ yesterday from Travis and it really rocks in my Hamer Chap Custom. I might need to swap it out for a test ride in the Dutone! I know what ppl say about some Piezo units sounding bad. I sometimes cringe when I hear a pro performer with a terrible, tinny acoutic tone. But, I dial mine in to sound quite realistic and I'm pretty picky when it comes to tone. Anyway, the Dutone is nice for that but man it can really rock too (high gain metal). I'm impressed!!
  13. I just got a Dutone in the mail today. It's a nice concept and guitar. I really like it. Is there a manual online and/or anything I should know about the jacks? One is a stereo jack? I haven't looked inside yet. Has everyone kept the stock JB/59 PU combo or has anyone found something better? Maybe the Rio bbq/Texas combo. Maybe the bbq might be too dark though, not sure. Maybe one of those Rio single coil sounding humbuckers for the neck? Anyone ever try those? Thanks for the advice!!
  14. It's artwork!
  15. >>>Plus, he's dead and what's the point in bashing someone who hasn't posted in years and isn't here to defend himself?>>> LOL!!
  16. What frets were stock on an 89 Chap Custom and what was stock on Daytonas? Thanks!!
  17. Agree! I'm going to listen to that one tonight. Are their other cd (s) as good as the first?
  18. My Trans Blue Ash Daytona is about 8lbs. I wish it was a little lighter but it sounds great!
  19. How heavy was that seafoam green Daytona?
  20. Well, like I said, I was surprised about how close it came but not close enough for this Humbucker fiend. EveryStrat type guitar I ever had was real-humucker equipped and just look how far that's got me in the music biz!!
  21. I have an Ash Daytona that I NEED to put a real humbucker into. The SD Hot Rails is actually quite surprising in that it can almost get that full humbucker sound but I need the real thing because I'm just too picky about it. My first thought was to put an SD Custom Custom. I have one in my Flame maple body Chap Custom and it's just great. To me, both the Ash and the maple have some similar sound characteristics in that they both have incredible sustain and do not lack in the highs department. The Custom Custom would seem to match the APS-1's well as they all would have Alnico 2 magnets and somewhat subdued in the teble department. How does the BBQ compare to the SD Custom Custom? Thanks as usual for the help!!
  22. Greg...you SUCK!!! Just too nice!!!!What a collection!!
  23. I think it should be fine. Especially since some of these other guitars are probably being sold to finance Hamers!
  24. The auction's already been pulled! Another rockstar strikes again! Just kidding Jack. Hopefully, you'll find the one you're looking for. If not, Bill and Becky are waiting for your call.
  25. That's the way to do it and then you're assured of getting the real deal. Plus, you don't have to be a rock star to order from good ol' Bill and Becky! While you're at it you just might order some of his cool guitar cables.
