  1. When's the last time you saw one of these? DAMN cool, this one. One old DiMarzio Dual Sound and two newer Virtual Vintage PAFs. $1199 with original case.
  2. It would make a nice compadre to this one..... ...which I am madly in love with.
  3. My earlier post was deleted(!), but it basically showed a newer guitar with a scarier top that any 4 digit. All of the early guitars had consistently flamed tops, whereas newer ones have an incredible variety of figures. I like scary, hate typical.
  4. - Answering the question: which do you prefer, sustainblock or tunamatic bridges? - It depends on the guitar.
  5. How come? I ordered it that way.
  6. Speaking of great Standards, we got this little gem made in honor of a soldier... I honestly believe that Hamer is at the top of their game.
  7. The color is "Oceanburst".
  8. Right now. I have owned every year Hamer, and the ones being made now are the best. There HAVE been some utterly fantastic guitars from all eras, though.
  9. 30th Earthen Maple Oceanburst Redwood
  10. It's got that tone but ballsier. Edited to add a pic of a REAL SOLID neck joint..... These guitars a tough.
  11. Hellyeah. I told them that I don't like the Sperzel regular tuners, so they put Klusons on for us.
  12. Nope. And the neck joint is SOLID, no tuning issues.
  13. Yup. Made in the US, by the guys that made the Dean USA guitars for the last 10+ years. This one just walked in the door and we are killed....... Mahogany body, maple neck, pau ferro board, custom voiced humbuckers and a hard shell case for less than a grand. My personal Hornet is my number 2 guitar, never to leave my hands. Full deets here, kippers!
  14. Oceanburst XT with WB GregWinds. VERY capable guitar.
  15. Checking in to see about the site issue. First off, thanks to all the guys that are digging my pickups. They are a truly unique design, not just another PAF copy. I used to wind these myself before I bought the store 15 years ago and ran out of time to do stuff like that. I'll buy any back that don't meet expectations. I have not had to do that after a whole lot of pickups. Brad Whitford, Billy Duffy(Cult), Ronnie Younkins(KIX, Blues Vultures), Ron Heathman(Supersuckers), Frank Hannon (Tesla) all seem to like theirs. Safari hates my site. Use Firefox. Thanks again to the true believers.
  16. The imports are killer.
  17. Thank you all! I just got home from NAMM, and had a great birthday (since you guys TOLD me to!) I celebrated all day with some cool folks, but if I name drop you won't believe me. I WILL tell you that Matt Smith took my wife and I out to dinner to a Korean barbecue that we go to every year(actually, it's the top brass from Kaman Music, Matt(as clinician), us lowly Platzers and the top staff from the Korean arm of Kaman Music). Food beyond description. A great time was had, and there was a surreal Dali moment when that bitch Matt got up and started to sing "Happy Birthdayyyyyyy to youuuuuuuuuuu!!!!!!" at the top of his lungs. EVERYONE in the crowded restaurant joined in, but only 10 people knew my name so the silence by everyone else when it got to the name part was hilarious! Again, thanks to all of you.
  18. Pssssssssssssst! Ernie!
  19. I like Redwood.... (note to mods- none of these guitars are for sale)
  20. Damn, that's a cute guy, there.... hahaha.
  21. OOPs, you are correct. That one fell into the wrong folder. Some more Brad Whitford guitars, since I started it.... And his Korina Standard with my pickups in it.... His most recent guitar boats....
  22. Just found these...
