  1. Are you suggesting it has the right stuff?
  2. No love for the "Sperm Whale" TRC? I mean, come on!! @Biz Prof
  3. See For Sale thread for details and TRC poll.
  4. Crappy flat frets made way to jumbos. Beautiful creme binding replaces pointless faux binding. The sparkle headstock wasn't working for me.
  5. Yes, THAT GMP Roxie! TL;DR: I bought it during a Covid-inspired boredom and since sold almost all of my guitars and "retired" from playing. The guitar went from Atlanta to Pennsylvania for mods, to @Stikeland to make it sparkly and fabulous, and finally here to New Jersey for wiring and setup. Now it's in its case, not being played, as I had predicted. Plenty of pix in the above thread link, but here are a few more: $1,600, shipped (with PayPal F&F, please). P-90s and a tune-o-matic (and at least one Bigsby over the years) gave way to DiMarzio PAF Pros and TonePros wrapper. The "Made In San Dimas, CA" bit could not be saved, for obvious reasons, but the serial is still there for whatever that's worth.
  6. The local guitar tech was really impressed with the paint, but the acoustic voice is magnificent. I don’t know if I’m going with the FACKYO or the Sperm Whale TRC yet. I’ll figure it out tomorrow.
  7. Is this better?
  8. Is the world really ready for “an eight piece Tom Petty tribute band”?
  9. I brought it outside to photograph it in the Sun and a small engine plane fell out of the sky.
  10. Frets OVER the binding!
  11. Like I said, @Stike's work is stellar.
  12. Dave made them under the Metropolitan brand name in the same Robin/Rio factory.
  13. Just replacing what's there. But you're still correct!
  14. Here's the other one. @Biz Prof
  15. @hamerhead asked about a good source for TRCs and pickguards. Here's one (of two) that I had Dave at Frets on the Net make for this Roxie.
