  1. I got volume 2 with the largo bonus disk for christmas and watched it. I am a big Kiss fan and that bonus disk was the real reason I wanted to get it (Dynasty was my first LP). I watched the Largo disk anxiously and was hugely disappointed. The sound was crap, the video was bad, the band played like crap (paul even forgot the words at one point) and you could just see that the band was falling apart and no one was having fun anymore. If that show would have been my first exposure to the band there probably would never have been a second. That said though, there was also some really good stuff on Volume 2. The Sydney 1980 show was fantastic! The stuff in Rio with Vinny Vincent playing was cool to see too. If you've seen Kiss Exposed you've seen snippets of whats on here. Hey now! The Largo '79 show was my first Kiss show (3rd concert overall benind Beatlemania @ Warner Theater & Barry Manilow @ Kennedy Center). I'll buy the Largo disc off ya. All the local retailers I could find that where supposed to have Largo had the wrong disc packaged (duplicate of disc 2)! I just realized I repeated the fuck out of myself. Doh.
  2. Just do what I did to my AVRI 62-get a new pickguard and switch the wiring around a little... Who's TM?
  3. +1. I On a side note, I like the way Tal's boob sits in the upper dip of the bass.
  4. Yeah, I kinda don't follow the whole story.
  5. Thanks. I actually bought it on vinyl so, I had no idea!
  6. Hadn't heard about that. What was the message? My Ace encounter story was at Jaxx, long after the show was done. I was sitting on the stage with the girl that would bed me that night, Richie Scarlet, and Ace. Ace was eating chicken wings in a long leather coat, I was just kinda watching him, not really knowing what to say to my "hero" and first guitar inspiration. Finally I said, "wow, if I'd known I would be casually hanging with you I would have brought my Les Paul for you to sign". He said, "nah, I don't sign guitars anymore, people just sell 'em for profit". I said "well, good thing I didn't bring it". He continued to work on his chicken wing. I'm going to see Aly and AJ on Friday.
  7. I really wanted II 'cause of the Largo '79 bonus disc (my first KISS show) but the 1st one I bought had the wrong bonus disc and so did the others when I tried to exchange. So, if anyone has II with Largo bonus, I'll buy it off ya. SH, I believe KISS performed Christine Sixteen on Letterman w/Gin Blossoms. I'll have to check out the hidden stuff...
  8. I gotta go with Martin, and we don't even sell 'em, so there you go!
  9. You can get 'em on anything, 'til Friday...
  10. Y'all. If you want crowns, as in the inlays that currently come on a Standard, the orders need to be on Frank's desk by this Friday morning the 21st of Dec. Holler.
  11. Damn. What a douche that guy is. I need to put him on my blocked list.
  12. Def. not excellent, and he seems to be being a dick, and respectfully, he may have thought you where being a dick (didn't see your e-mails) but obviously you're on your game more than he is 'cause he writes like a 12 year old and you're a smart dude. HOWEVER! Hold yourself accountable for buying a guitar without a return policy that left you an acceptable out. So, flip it ASAP and move on. Go trade it for something you'll have a good feeling about. Fuck, I'll take it. What do you want?
  13. Dave kicks ass. Thanks, I thought you guys might enjoy that.
  14. Here's something cool. An e-mail from Dave Grohl to Ross Halfin (famed lensman) that mentions Steve Gorman (monster drummer for The Black Crowes) and their experiences the night of the show: Dave Grohl tells it like it is... Sir, Just wanted to thank you for being so accommodating to me and my cast of nerds the other night. It was an epic night, to say the least. Arriving at 10 am that morning, sleeping for three hours, heading to the bottle shop for refreshments to take with in the van, pissing like a Clydesdale upon arrival to the gig, and then the mighty Zeppelin. Highlights: For Your Life. Maybe my favorite song of the night, except for Kashmir, which was beyond spot on. The dry ice machine. Black Dog. Like they never stopped playing it. Asking Marilyn Manson if I can give him a hickey. "No". Asking his girlfriend if I can give her a hickey. "Sure!" To which Marilyn replied "No". Not understanding one fucking word that Liam Gallagher said to me. Steve Gorman. A good guy. Peter Mench being nice to me. Sign of the apocalypse? Perhaps. The entire 2 hours that the band performed. Without sounding like a cunt, I had waited to see that my whole life, and it did not disappoint. Of course, I had always dreamed about being behind that drum set, but the sheer thrill of being there overcame any envy that I may have had. Jason was fucking great. Face it, he had people like me, Chad Smith, and Steve Gorman watching his every move, all night long, and afterwards we all agreed that he played great. Just three jealous drummers, drinking away our life long dreams of one day jamming with the greatest rock band of all time. Fucking pathetic, we were......... Anyway, I just wanted to thank you for including us in everything. It meant the world to me. Congratulate the boys for me. Hope they take this circus on the road. If there's an opening for drum tech, you know my number. Dave
