  1. I've always thought Incubus' name and music didn't match. They're fucking great, though. Dig is the latest "best song I've heard in years".
  2. Jeff Cease was nowhere near the caliber of player TBC needed, Marc Ford is WAY overated (fans STILL moan about him, even though he faxed his latest resignation in 2 days before a tour), and Johnny was "cooler" than Sven but Sven's a better player. Viva Crowes though!
  3. Roy, that's great, inspiring work you're doing. Bubs, as for the Zander Standard color, it was spec'd to match the book pic, in which the guitar is patina'd, hence the yellow.
  4. London Quireboys-7 O'clock
  5. He IS a giant. A giant, kind-hearted soul, and I love him! He has. On the blogosphere...
  6. The Eagles where the first artist offered this years show but declined because they wanted nothing to do with FOX/Ruppert Murdock.
  7. DUDE! That's priceless! Vinnie seems like a good dude.
  8. Chris Matthes.
  9. One who never gets talked about is Tom Hamilton. He's always played sweet lines and his tone is cool. My top dogs are Entwistle, McCartney and Lee.
  10. Tuner & Distortion/Overdrive!
  11. Then you might as well give it to me. I'd win that Pepsi challenge.
  12. Really, it's totally up to him, and always has been. If/when he decides to do something with it, that's when something will happen. Excactly.
  13. Bingo! Or if he can/wants to, sell it.
  14. Seeing as you like the Dead and WSP, I'd reccomend Black Crowes Into The Fog Freak N Roll, and Chris & Rich Robinson Brothers Of A Feather. Not really "great" DVD's per se, but I think you'll dig the music.
  15. It's a Saturday!
  16. Yup. Rich Eisen on NFL Network after the game said (paraphrasing) "A Geddy Lee aproved score, 21-12. (then speaking to Steve Mariucci) Right Steve? You've got some Rush in your iPod, don't you?" Mariucci half-smiled, looked down and nodded. Good stuff. I'm gonna see if I can work the Hughes & Kettner angle. They hooked me up sweet on the 30th Anniversary tour. That was the 1st time I'd seen them since probably the late 80's and they SMOKED! UK's Classic Rock mag just came out with their top 50 of 2007 and Snakes & Arrows got the #1 spot (in essence... they actually gave it to the 1/2 dozen or so leaked Chinese Democracy/GNR tunes).
  17. Yeah, but I wish they'd do one on something other than a Studio platform. You really ARE telling me to spray paint my MONS black, aren't you? "I hate 1st fret Crowns!" "Crowns don't look good on a Monaco!" Have to agree with you. I was green. BUT, still the best guitar I own.
  18. Oh man. I'm so sorry for your loss.
  19. I'm with ya, but you can piece one together for all the above. They all have large amounts of video out there. Queen's got at least 3 major concert vids (the "We Will Rock You-Live In Canada" deal is the best), tons of Who stuff is out (Kids Are Alright covers alot) and Elton's got quite a few things as well (the 60th birthday DVD is chock full of great stuff), AND, they all have "Classic Albums" series out, which are pretty much the best videos of their kind. And that's just the licensed stuff... Well, I was thinking something more along the lines of Kissology, something that's career-spanning. Of the three, Elton's probably the best represented, but I'd love to see some official release of the early TV performances (BBC In Concert, etc., although the 60th birthday DVD gathers a lot of those). Most of the Queen stuff seems to be centered around the mid-late 80s stuff. I'd like to see some of the 70s stuff, the Kampuchea show, etc. Although I do like what they did w/their videos collection (and would love to see someone in Kiss pick up a copy of this and say, 'Hey, we could do something like this...'). Something else I'd like to see on DVD - "The Magic Years". Some nice studio footage on there. The Who stuff is virtually all post-Keith, and as great as a lot of it is, it's not classic Who. I don't know how much pro shot stuff w/Keith is actually out there (I've heard rumors, but who knows how accurate they are). I've got a Cleveland show w/Keith, and I've heard about the Houston show, but it would be great to have a few shows of that vintage. There were rumors about that kind of stuff coming out w/the "Amazing Journey" set, which didn't happen, but there are also rumors those shows may see separate releases. The Classic Album series is fantastic. I have the Who and Elton versions, and I'd love to get the Fleetwood Mac one. They did one on "Kiss Alive!", but it hasn't seen home release yet (that I'm aware of). Alan Good stuff, Alan. We could def. hang and go through our video collections together. Maybe we can trade something. I've got lots of Elton. There was a Kiss CA for Alive? I had no idea. Another good CA is The Band. BTMN, I'm with ya on Aerosmith.
