  1. Gratis! Interesting... Free Ozzfest
  2. That looks VERY nice!
  3. He said "80's Morgan Fairchild". It would seem she got implants along the way...
  4. A little more to the story, from "the internet: Apparently there was a feud between Prince & Grohl... Grohl got permission to record several Prince songs from Warner Brothers. He (Prince) wasn't into it because Grohl never asked him directly. Prince said Grohl should write his own songs. Grohl said sorry I'm just a huge Prince fan and Prince's response was performing "Best of You" tonight at the Superbowl.
  5. This is the pretty hilarious story of Kevin Smith working with Prince. Long but great! Kevin Smith On Prince I Kevin Smith On Prince II
  6. Very moving. Isn't the "symbol" guitar a Hamer? I wonder if the recent purple one would have been on stage if he hadn't returned it...
  7. BLEW ME AWAY! LOVED IT! Adding to the fun-Michael Wilbon on Prince: Usually at halftime, I'm busy writing frantically because deadlines are tight at night...But I wouldn't be writing tonight at hafltime. I'm a total Prince groupie...and have been since 1978 when his first album came out...We're the same age, so were 19 then...I parited with The Twins, Prince's scandalously hot twin dancers, Thursday night on South Beach at Shaq's party...I see football all the time, but there's never enough Prince. The last time I watched the halftime show intently was Janet and Justin...Price in the rain...How unbelievably cool is this? It's like he's not even getting wet. Tony's a rock-and-roll guy so he probably doesn't even care about Prince. This ain't Mr. Tony music, although this song "The Best of You" sounds rock-like...to much metal for true R&B fans. But part of the attraction to Prince, I'm sure, is that he plays everything masterfully. He's suposed to do 12 minutes total...Oooh, "Purple Rain." Okay, this has to be the finale...You can't do something after "Purple Rain" when it's raining...Unless he wants to do a little "Darlin' Nicky" which I know he won't do...Prince had a religious conversion of sorts a few years ago and doesn't do stuff like "Soft n' Wet" and "Sexy M.F." and "Do Me Baby." I hate that he doesn't do overtly sexy songs anymore, but what can you do? It's like being angry over Art Monk not being voted into the Hall of Fame...
  8. I actually wanted to be a piano player at first 'cause I loved Barry Manilow (yup) and Elton John. But for guitar, without a doubt Ace Frehley's Cherry Sunburst Gibson Les Paul Custom.
  9. Never heard of D&B til the Crowes covered Coming Home recently. What a kick ass tune! Kiss Alive II Side 1 UFO Strangers In The Night Side 1 Wings Over America Side 1 I'm a side 1 kinda guy I guess...
  10. A hearty + 1! I can't believe it took me this long. I thought Steady As She Goes was alright, they sounded very intriguing at Virgin Festival (I was far away, didn't really see them but heard alot of it, sounded like Zeppelin), heard Level on Sirius, killer song, then saw them on Austin City Limits and was like, WOAH! Drive By Truckers have the coolest song I've heard this decade. Let There Be Rock.
  11. Now I'M jealous! I'll trade ya for 4 bills of MD's finest! This post dedicated to Gustav.
  12. They exist. We have one around here. Old blues guy...
  13. If your end of the deal is done, block his bidder ID/e-mails so you're not bothered with his bullshit, save a transcript of your communications, if he leaves negative feedback take it, reply to your negative (on *your* feedback log) saying something like "unreasonable ebayer-transcript available", drop a neg on him calmly and succintly telling others that he's unreasonable in however many characters you're allowed and move on.
  14. Some more obsucre ones... Black Crowes in 91 I think (1st record-They did Thick & Thin and Angels I believe) and again in 92 I believe (Southern Harmony, they did Sometimes Salvation and an as yet unrealeased Non-Fiction eventually on Amorica-gotta hand it to them for not doing the obvious every time). The Cult was pretty trippy during the Love era. Best moment just hit me. Paul McCartney doing 3 songs (late 80's maybe) the last one being Hey Jude. It was around Christmas and I *feel* like it was one of the first times he did a Beatles tune on network television as a solo artist. It was sort of unexpected and very moving. You could feel it.
  15. You HAD to have had one of those! Seems like Copper should be chiming in here? Did he ever come back after the politico stuff?
  16. Frank-Mom's are the strongest people on the planet. May she rest in peace. Our condolences.
  17. That's mean. Does that mean you suck? Could you use makeup/special effects to help the guy?
  18. Thanks man. I like your guitar. Lots!
  19. Like this? Aww yee-ah, now we're talkin'. Let's list 'em. Standard (old & new) FB SS
  20. Actually, you don't know that carpet (les'n you've been to the house without me knowin') but you 'aint missin' much. Our store carpet is in much better shape than our house carpet. Keep 'em coming y'all. Let's do some headstock closeups. CMatthes, where's the back of that shirt! Wow. Where have you been! Sweet sweet fiddle there mate.
  21. We all know this one...
  22. Y'all are killing me. I can't believe anyone's knockin' the guys shred skills. That's like knocking the contestants athletic skills on "Battle Of The Network Stars". Don't tell me anyone thought the Decemberists dude was thinking, "I'll show him" without tongue planted firmly in cheek. He was being silly. It's a comedy show.
  23. On again at 10:30 eastern today.
  24. The only thing to knock about that show is when SC said "Nick" Nielsen at first (he was nervous). What a great day for folks who are sick of (insert party here) politcos and fans of the fiddle. The stars have truly aligned.
