  1. $149??? Damn!
  2. LOL! Hope you get it sorted out Badger. This reminds me of a lessons customer of ours who bought an Ibanez from a private seller on Ebay. They brought it in for a set-up at which point I had to break the bad news that it had a twisted neck. I told them they should try and return it or get a partial refund or something. They contacted the seller who basically told them "tough". Then, the seller contacted Paypal to try and protect his sale, and Paypal turned around and gave the buyer a refund.
  3. The Black one has flown the coop.
  4. Now it's covered.
  5. Technically not a sparkle, but a metallic. They do metallics (last I checked).
  6. This FB has been largely neglected, but I restrung and set it up last night and it felt good to recall what an *excellent* playing guitar this is. And the pickups? Love 'em.
  7. Someone check with Rindone and see if they ever did mousepads like that. If not, you're in essence bidding on a home made t-shirt. SK-Just go to ebay and search hamer mousepad.
  8. I wonder if the dude has a stack of them...
  9. It was fine. Haters hate, y'know. I thought that SNL skit "I'm Gonna Bang Your Wife" was funny. Kid Rock was really good on the Grammies as well. Grohl played drums with Paul McCartney, Rusty Anderson and Brian Ray. They did "I Saw Her Standing There" It rocked silly.
  10. I commented to Ariana that he's a good rapper. Why beyond worthless? (poke)
  11. Scratch that. She spoke the 3rd time they went up. Their performance was... Awesome.
  12. Before I forget, Radiohead (2 of 'em + marching band) where awesome too. Pervis Jackson RIP!
  13. Jonas Brothers with Stevie Wonder was awesome. Best I've heard Stevie in a long time. You think Allison Krauss told Robert Plant she didn't want to speak tonight? Dave Grohl is truly the most blessed rock fan ever.
  14. 500 posts or 3 years of being a nice guy, or the proper smiley. Was that you who shipped me the White Phantom that arrived with broken headstock? 'Cause I have no idea what you're talking about otherwise.
  15. Freud would have a field day with this little point/counterpoint. Dave, I've seen Jason01 posting pictures of that Phantom on here many times and basically (by the way he words his comments or captions about it) makes it seem like he owned it in that condition or restored it to that condition when in fact he didn't. Give some credit to the dude who actually did the work. At least put a disclaimer like most of us do when posting pictures off other people's guitars that "this is not my guitar" or tell people that when you sold it it was nothing more than a stripped bare piece of wood. I know I wouldn't want someone taking credit for my hard work. That's half the analysis right there, on the other hand, you've managed an awful lot of strongly opined chop bustin' in 52 posts. But, it's good to know who we are, where we stand, and i guess it takes a village.
  16. As I recall, when you sold it -it was nothing but a body stripped to bare wood. The next owner did the full restoration and refinish to bring it to what you see in the photo. Freud would have a field day with this little point/counterpoint.
  17. What?!? Details please! Best hair on the HFC. Ken's 'aint too bad either.
  18. That one in particular is one of the finest guitars I've fondled.
  19. It's for sale. +1. Give him a payment plan, John!
  20. Dude! I thought the same thing!
  21. I can't believe nobody's said Grim Reaper.
  22. My Martin treats me right. I tried a really amazing 60s Martin once. It was great, but a little too mellow, and I ended up getting my present guitar, which to my ears was a little clearer. Martins are kind of like Gibsons too me, so many variations, and "artist specials" that I don't know which ones are good value and which ones are marketing. I think if I were to get a Martin, it would be a used one. Are there any years to avoid? Any years that are particularly a good buy? I got mine used at Atomic Music. DC16GTE. It's a 90 something I think. Traded a Gibson CL20 for it. Look for a used one and spend the rest on other stuff!
