  1. I think that we all tend to be our biggest critic, but I think you are overly critical... Everything I've seen/heard from you is, at worst, really good.
  2. For whatever reason, "it's minty clean" came to mind...
  3. Does that include guacamole? Not crazy abut straight avacados...
  4. Keep it away from your cat! 😂
  5. Good one! 😂
  6. The 12 year old kid in me stlll wants one of these. 😂 They actually sound really cool, what I've heard on YouTube.
  7. Don't get upset, it was just a joke to counter the "cheekbones" comment. I shame Tony on nothing, like I said he is a badass.
  8. Actually, Geezer is a complete badass.
  9. Nah,it's the fingertip extensions. 😂 Tony is definitely a badass.
  10. That is just cool AF! I usually use two fingers on the Magic Pad (might be right-click on a PC), then copy and paste.
  11. Wouldn't it be funny if Ibanez could sue Gibson for infringement. 😂 I like it.
  12. Yep, that's mine on the left... DC Dimarzio's and all! Maybe the 1000 had an early and a late edition(?). The head stock and pick guard on mine is identical to yours and the one in the ad, but the 1000's I saw in a search were different.
  13. I just edited my post. Mine is defintely a 1500, like yours
  14. You sure that isn't a BST-1000? It look identical to mine, it was also my first real guitar! ETA: I purchased mine new in 1981, and it was tagged as a BST-1000. Doing some searching just now, I think mine is actually a BST-1500 too. All these years I thought I had the 1000!
  15. One like this. "Steel Reinforced Neck", no truss rod 😂
  16. Yeah. And he blames it on Smith & Wesson.
  17. Tone report when you have time.
  18. Roy was a total monster! He can even make it sound like a steam engine
  19. As happens, the humor went straight over my head. 😂
  20. You took that entirely out of context. That was a reference to the Ford 351 Cleveland that was on the site (and you left out the hemi's).
  21. No. USPS flat SUCKS! Tracking is all but nonexistent, and I don't feel any better about trusting something valuable with Fedex. I'd almost feel better freighting it with Fastenall or Greyhound (kidding on Greyhound.) UPS is a little better in my experience, but none are foolproof. If the guitar is that valuable, the only suggestion I've seen here that I would be comfortable with is buying two plane tickets. I think BCR actually did that some years ago.
  22. Awesome site, he's a very well rounded dude! I personally find the hemi's and Cleveland more interesting than the Abba guitar, although the SG-ish bass is pretty cool.
  23. I've bought some plek'd guitars, but never had one plek'd. Therefore I can't really answer your question other than to say that every plek'd guitar I've played has been great. As far as having one done after the fact, it's probably like anything else that needs human input... It's only going to be as good as the guy that's prepping and setting everything up(?). That being said, I would think that anyone who has a plek is most likely trained and fluent with it.
  24. Who's to say, in this case. The bright side is it wasn't Fender.
