SDOTD Linky I remember around 1982-ish, the digital effects began to be introduced as the next best-magical-must-have devices. Funny how things change. We even saw it with the introduction of CD's and digital tape. Now we have come full circle, back to analog goodness. 😂 That said, I always liked EH effects, and this one piques my interest.

I hate to hear this. A lot of different mags I used to read (guitar, bike, electronics, etc) have bellied up or turned to crap. One I hated to see go in the late 90's was Guitar Shop. I really liked that one.

They look good, and I'd love to try one sometime. Fernando Von Arb rocked his Kahler equipped Scarab, and sounded great/looked cool doing it. ETA: I don't understand all the hate either, unless its carving up a vintage axe to install one... That's dumb. But it seems to be almost a universal thing.

Here's a few of mine.

I've had transformers made to spec by Heyboer in the past. They make good stuff, and will work with you to get you what you want... Interleaving, wire type and size, impedances, and they keep the info on file so that if you ever need more they can just pull up the design and do it. This has been years ago, but they were very easy to deal with and reasonable, comparitively.
