Here's a link to the song I wrote about my dad a while back. It's partly about me, too. The basic story is that some prick was intimidating my aunt and uncle down in Texas back when I was about 10 years old. We happened to be down there visiting at the time, so Dad stepped up and told the guy to back off because he was messing with the meanest sumbitch in Illinois. Mr. Prick backed off pretty quickly and I never forgot seeing my dad stand up for our family. Twenty years later, a song came out of my head. Go figure. No Hamers involved, though. I was temporarily parted with my 86 TLE at the time this was recorded. I used a new Kramer Striker and Nightrider for all but the very last lead, which was done on an acrylic Samick, a Jackson clone w/EMG's. Guitars were recorded direct through a Boss GT-6 or GT-5, I forget which. Edited to correct link. www.soundclick.com/martygibson Go to Music Page and scroll down to The Meanest.
