  1. The single cut really suits the darker colour. Great shot of it in all it’s glory too.
  2. Absolutely outstanding work. If you intend to raise quality it can only be details as there is nothing obvious lacking in any of the pictures.
  3. I totally get it. The more I play my guitars the more I realise that I gravitate to a few of them and the rest are luxuries. Playing them’s the most important part.
  4. The guitar does look splendid on stage! Awesome job Mike!
  5. Team Shishkov rock! I have fantastic memories from both of my visits to Shishkov HQ.
  6. Awesome. One of my favourite Shishkov guitars.
  7. I too love Fractal and haven’t looked at an amp head purchase since. I started with an Ultra and was disappointed. The 2 was a huge improvement and the 3, having spent considerable time working with it, is even better. For me the biggest difference from 2 to 3 being feel although it does sound better. I’ve found a workflow when programming presets that works for me. The hardest part of all is dialling in IR’s and mixing them to taste but when you get it right... I’d never go back.
  8. That Sir is an absolutely brilliant find. An O’Connor Cali and a maple board? I reckon that’s a very rare Hamer. Looks fantastic.
  9. The studio and guitars are twenty miles from my home.
  10. He has a few Hamers. Wheels them out every now and again.
  11. This sort of stuff infuriates me. I think there needs to be recognition with custom instruments that lacquer cracks do indeed happen. I had this before with a Cali sale. The buyer made a point of raising it but luckily recognised that there’s no way of dealing with it satisfactorily. Has this new owner not accepted that he may be the cause himself if he opened the case too quickly on arrival? You read of people opening cases and witnessing cracking before their eyes.
  12. All bought by the same person in the UK evidently.
  13. This has the making of being a very happy ending. I really hope this works out for all concerned.
  14. I sold my TD30K kit to someone once. He came round with his 10 year old son, who it was intended for, and I was ready to throw a few compliments when he sat down to play. Then he hit the sticks together “1, 2, 3, 4” and utterly blew me away with his immense talent as he did everything from Stuart Copeland to Taylor Hawkins flawlessly.
  15. What a lovely guitar. A pure retro Hamer right there!
  16. Personally I think that’s a lot of guitar for it’s current price. I wonder where it ends up?
