I wonder if Rick still has that guitar and all the replaceable "faces"? Thanks Brian I wonder he's going to find them in his storage bunker.

Just had some morning fiddling with the all alder MIK Standard having single coils in it. Played into the VAC 25. Classy! Alder and single coils are a great duo. -
Very impressive tour. Just sayin'.

Well....I was going to specify emerald green. Perhaps a dip in the ocean might be in order. That guitar is stunning. I'm blue-green with envy. Well, there could have been some yellow in the game to mix up with the blue. In that case, it would be a blue sunburst kind of thing. Call it blue sunglasses sunburst.

The Charlie Christian Bo Diddley guitar joined me on travel. I can't say how great it is to be able to practice on the road. -

But much, much cheaper. No shipping time involved, either. In case a download is more fun than waiting for the brown car. -

The Kemper is like a computer. Actually, it is a computer. By programming, it allows to serve nearly any goal soundwise. The question is: What is YOUR goal? To find that out and implement it takes as much time it takes to swap gear the old fashioned way. -

In concert Brian May popped up playing a Duotone equivalent Red Special shaped guitar for Crazy Little Thing. It's a very nice sounding guitar, especially made for him. Doesn't have a trem though. -

I know how to feed you. ETA: the Galileo is comparable to the MAXX FX in the way that it out of the box delivers one particular Queen sound, but far more stable. In comparison, the MAXX FX in itself is a very sensible unit and could never compete with the Galileo. The Deacy amp never has been a Vox and never will. Here is some literature for you, I stumbled upon the other day. https://fryerguitars.wordpress.com/deacy-amp/ -

Found this while conquering the Catalinbread Galileo today. Seems to be a very nice pedal though. -
Very nice design. I had checked a couple of vids and think this one is quite objective. The pickups seem to deliver a wide frequency range. That's different to the usual pickup design. Therefore, the pickups require a different handling and many pedals seem not to work with them since made and trickled for usual pickup frequency ranges. I think they are very interesting. As always, put in the right and matching setup they would sure satisfy and make a guitarist happy. Woodwise, I would think they would shine in alder based guitars, taking off a bit of crispiness if you like. The Newport could be a great candidate too. ETA: I would not setup the guitar with plain steel strings. ETA: Another video ETA: The principle.

Going up the neck, going down the neck and across the neck
gorch replied to mathman's question in Ask the HFC Experts
In essence, it seems technically you need to get your scales up and down in the same speed. Sure it's a matter of practicing. I had success learning difficult to me chords by creating a song that had the chords in it. So, I could not avoid the chord and practicing therefore. It turned out to be quite successful. Even, it's more fun to play a song rather then stupidly practising scales. -

Might be a stupid question, but why is Russia popular in tube production? Any guesses?
