Philadelphia luthier has 36mm trem block gotoh trems back in stock for $106

I just got an email that these are back in stock with the 36mm (brass) block; I think most Hamer's come with a 36mm block.

These are a nice replacement if you have one of the 'soft' plate Hamer logo Floyd's that are prone to stripped set screws.  You may want to swap over your Floyd trem bar for 'dive bomb' clearance, check your clearance prior to stringing it up.

These tremolo systems are the mutts nuts! They cost nearly 3 times as much over here in England so at the price you guys pay: they are a steal!

Victor, I thought you were planning to move to Canada this year. Change your mind?

Definitely not changed my mind! I paid for my Immigration medical yesterday to the tune of $700. My wife wants to stay in England for another year as the students she has been teaching for the past 3 years graduate in 2025 and she wants to be there for their graduation. So it looks like we are going next summer instead...

For my own clarity, it looks like you used the Floyd posts and not the Gotoh ones?

yes: the Gotoh posts have very course threads, the Floyd threads are probably 2:1 finer than the Gotohs.  To CBoss's point, the long screws would be an issue if I pulled up more than maybe a 4th or 5th, which I don't really do.

here's the whole story

Agree- Gotoh's are aces!  One of the selling points (IMO) is the locking posts, which I managed fine without, for nearly 37 years. Now I miss them on my Floyd and Lock Meister axes!

I'm would absolutely need full clearance for the string screws in order to do some crazy pull ups! :)  Not sure if the shortened bolts from Schaller would work with the Gotohs.

I think the locking posts are their secret sauce.
