Question

HI everybody,

A local seller (to me) is selling a Hamer Blitz bass that he says has an all-original splatter finish.  He has not yet sent pictures of the headstock or the back, but those have this same finish.  Is it possible what he is saying is correct?  I was under the impression that the Blitz bass only came in black, red, and white.  Please advise.

Thanks,

HamerCustomer

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the finish surrounding the serial number on the back of the headstock makes me think that this could be the original finish.  Experts, please chime in!

First off, I'm no expert, but that's never stopped me before, 😁

I have never seen that finish before on any Hamer. But I sure do likes it!

I say it is original.  The 80's were a time when splatters, drips, and smears were trendy.  There were other custom finishes from that time period, some of them one-offs.

If you pass on the bass tell the seller $350 is waiting on him if he will ship it to me.

It IS original.

Blitz Basses were available in many colors and graphic finishes, and this appears to be a one-off Custom factory finish.
