ChugD Posted July 22, 2025 Posted July 22, 2025 (edited) I am selling this on Reverb for more. I got a few new in the box MIJ Charvels. Listing the Model 6 first. It is pearl white with the active mid boost. It has a USA Kahler pro which is my favorite tremolo system. The arm is missing from the box, but readily available directly from Kahler. They are great people to deal with. Separate on/off switches for each pickup. I think that gets you 10 possible pickup combinations. People are selling used ones for much more (I don't know if they get their asking price). I know a lot of the appeal here is the new old stock part of it. I really like neck through Charvels and especially with a Kahler, but I just don't feel right putting it into service. New owner can do what they want. Details here: https://reverb.com/item/90930722-charvel-model-6-hss-1986-kahler-usa-nos-new-old-stock I will take $3000 PP/FF off Reverb plus shipping. velorush Posted July 22, 2025 Posted July 22, 2025 Loved those guitars! I bought a month-old used Model 3A (HH) in '86 ('87 model IIRC - no pickguard) and traded it in for a new Model 3 (HSS) after a couple of months. A guy in a local cover band had a duplicate of the guitar you're selling - unobtainium to me at the time. 1 Quote
The Shark Posted July 23, 2025 Posted July 23, 2025 I love just about anything that's NOS. I remember Gil Southworth had a 1956 Tweed Fender Deluxe in a box never opened. They steamed it open and pulled the amp out at the Dallas Guitar show in 1989 or 1990. Totally cool. Great guitar. If it was two buckers, it would already be sold.😎 1 Quote
Jimbilly Posted July 23, 2025 Posted July 23, 2025 I think those accept usa/mexi Fender threaded trem arms 10-32 threads? - Gotoh makes them too, all very inexpensive. Quote
scottcald Posted July 23, 2025 Posted July 23, 2025 Wow, that's a beauty! Gary Kahler is a good dude. Threads size is 10/32x1/4 according to their site. 1 Quote
Travis Posted July 23, 2025 Posted July 23, 2025 Those old Japanese Charvels are excellent guitars. I had several of the model series and toothpaste logo Charvels over the years. Still have my ‘89 650XL (with an ‘88 serial number) bought new in ‘92… 😉 2 Quote
scottcald Posted July 25, 2025 Posted July 25, 2025 Didn't think that would last long. The new owner got a good deal. Quote
santellavision Posted July 25, 2025 Posted July 25, 2025 The Model 6 was my first 'Shredder'. Miss that guitar! Quote
