Saul Goodman Posted August 19, 2025 Posted August 19, 2025 If I hadn't just bought a Hamer Special I may be interested in this. I may still be. 3 Quote
velorush Posted August 19, 2025 Posted August 19, 2025 Looks like it's just the 1960 Inspired By, so first fret measurement of 0.80" - pity that. Wildwood has one for $1,100. Epiphone Inspired by Gibson Custom Shop 1960 Les Paul Special Double Cut | Reverb 1 Quote
crunchee Posted August 19, 2025 Posted August 19, 2025 If I really wanted an Epiphone, I'd look for one of the old Japanese-made Elite/Elitist models from about twenty years ago. DGS has had a few LP models recently, priced at about a Grand each. 5 2 Quote
murkat Posted August 20, 2025 Posted August 20, 2025 (edited) That’s alot a $ for a cort made guitar… Edited August 20, 2025 by murkat 4 Quote
crunchee Posted August 22, 2025 Posted August 22, 2025 I still don't get it...what's so valuable about the price tag? Or was the title caption written by an AI? Quote
Jim85IROC Posted August 23, 2025 Posted August 23, 2025 I really don't understand the appeal of this model. This is in used Gibson Special territory. I brought this up on TGP and got a bunch of pushback about there not being a comparable Gibson available. Between a Gibson LP Special or a Hamer Special, both of which are out there at around the same price, this is a hard pass for me. Hell, there's used Epi LP Specials out there for $350. 3 Quote
Jimbilly Posted August 25, 2025 Posted August 25, 2025 I've had a couple of the older Epis, not very impressive imo. I've also had a couple of recent builds, probably 4 years old or less: LP Custom, Lucille, and 'goldtop' w p90s (black, which was an option), those recent builds were very nice, much better than the older ones as I recall. 2 Quote

Super high build quality, great neck profile, evenly matched alnico humbuckers, at 7.4 each, light 6 lbs. ARM OF HAMER Posted August 27, 2025 Posted August 27, 2025 Just now, ARM OF HAMER said: I looked for this model in excellent shape for years, rare in this color and hard to find in decent condition, guitars made by Hamer, Yamaha, Epiphone, were not always particularly well cared for so finding one this nice was great. 2 Quote
hamerican gigolo Posted August 30, 2025 Posted August 30, 2025 Love the fact that it's a dual P90 guitar with a wraptail. Not a lot of choices in that respect. 2 Quote
