hamerhead Posted October 17, 2025 Author Posted October 17, 2025 Fits: LP, Hamer Special/Junior/Studio/Artist, Shishkov DC (with a little coaxing), Mitchell MS450 (a bit loose). I'm sure there's more, but that's what I got. I use one in place of my original 46-year-old LPC case. It's a great snug fit and far more robust. 3 Quote
currypowder Posted October 17, 2025 Posted October 17, 2025 I have this case and have used it for travel many times. $119 shipping included is a pretty good deal 1 Quote
BoogieMKIIA Posted October 17, 2025 Posted October 17, 2025 Weight around 11 pounds per specs. I have a newer hard shell Gibson case for my LP that is about 10.5 pounds, the guitar is about 9.5 pounds. The original (1973) case is lighter, but haven’t weighed it. I would like a lighter case but may not get the protection this Gator provides at the SDOD price. 1 Quote

polara Posted October 22, 2025 Posted October 22, 2025 Having gone to Florida State University, I hate to say it but my Gator LP case is a freakin' tank. They build 'em to last. 1 1 Quote

geoff_hartwell Posted October 23, 2025 Posted October 23, 2025 Duuuuuuuude The one I ordered just arrived. Needed a t-shirt at the butt end to even out the pocket for a Duotone compared to a LP angled neck but Daaaaamn, it’s really sturdy, waaay lighter than wooden OHSC, I wish I bought two more. 3 1 Quote
Jakeboy Posted October 23, 2025 Posted October 23, 2025 Mine needed a folded cloth at the butt end as well with an LP Special, but who cares? Great fit and a great case! 4 Quote
