I don't follow Hamers of this era as closely, but that's a 1981, right? Doesn't seems like a crazy good price, but posting in case anyone cares about it. Tortious Posted November 8, 2025 Posted November 8, 2025 Correct, 81 checkerboard Special. That poker chip needs to go, as do those knobs. Looks like non-original pickups too, 9 Quote
hamerhead Posted November 8, 2025 Posted November 8, 2025 That price is becoming more of the ballpark. Might be a little high given the non-original parts, but we're almost to the '$1350 is the new $350' point. 4 Quote

I have not seen a 1981 Special in good non repaired condition selling $1350, I see them listed for $2K and up all the time 1 Quote
Hbom Posted November 8, 2025 Posted November 8, 2025 May have sold in the 51 minutes since DarkHammer posted. I bet it makes a new owner smile from ear to ear Quote
Drew816 Posted November 10, 2025 Posted November 10, 2025 The new owner will really enjoy those "...dual P-90s" in that guitar. 😉 Looks like a good one! 1 1 Quote
