ZR Posted April 15 Posted April 15 Sad to hear. I have a friend with it and it's sad to see. I liked his guitar playing, and he represented Hamer well for awhile... https://www.buddlejagarden.co.uk/hamerblog/dumont.htm 5 Quote
cmatthes Posted April 15 Posted April 15 I got to hang out with him and he took us through his touring guitar racks and let us monkey around with and shoot pics of his gear for the Hamer book. He couldn’t have been a nicer guy, nor more generous with his time. I saw him at a NAMM show 5-6 months later, and he remembered me without any prompting and wanted to know if the pics came out okay or if we needed anything else. Super talented guy, and he is so much more than just “that guy in Gwen Stefani’s old band”. I am hoping for the best for him. 13 Quote
hamerican gigolo Posted April 16 Posted April 16 Sad to hear. He flew the Hamer banner for quite a while. I wouldn't wish Parkinson's on my worst enemy... 😞 4 Quote

ARM OF HAMER Posted April 16 Posted April 16 Sorry to hear that, I have a good friend who has it, and it is awful. 4 Quote
stobro Posted April 16 Posted April 16 My brother has it. He's a couple of years older than me, and was first diagnosed about 20 years ago. His wife recently had to move him into a memory care nursing facility. She has to sell their house so they can afford the care. Since my brother is incapable of understanding anything and can't express himself at all, I have to sign the documents on his behalf. 11 Quote
stobro Posted April 20 Posted April 20 I just wrapped up the meeting with my sister-in-law, her attorney and a notary. A whole slew of documents had to be signed to allow the sale of their house. At least now they have the funding they need to continue his care. 1 2 Quote
