Stike Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 Way cool, kudos for NOT going with a vintage correct finish.
sirDaniel Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 C'est tres bien mon ami. Il est beaucoup d'impressiv.Comment qualite de son? Vive Le HAMER USA!
princeofdarkness56 Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 Very nice. I am impressed. How does it sound ???
straightblues Posted July 11, 2006 Author Posted July 11, 2006 Very nice. I am impressed. How does it sound ??? I will have to find a way to get it recorded. It sounds very very good. It is simply amazing in fact. Don Mare is making the finest tele pickups I have ever heard. This guitar truely sounds like a great 50's tele/esquire. The sound is well beyond what I could have hoped for. The pickup is only 6K. It can do traditional country all the way to Led Zepplin. It has only been together since Saturday. The sound of this thing simply has blown me away. In fact, the finish is way out there for a guitar that sounds this vintage. I am sure people will be shocked by it.
hardheartedbill Posted July 12, 2006 Posted July 12, 2006 tres cool! your gonna love that Allparts neck, I have not touched another electric since I got my black strat going again. that pine body in cool too, whats that doing to the tone?
BruceM Posted July 12, 2006 Posted July 12, 2006 One word from me. WOW! Congrats on a great concept and execution. And who cares what it sounds like? Very nice.
musicman Posted July 12, 2006 Posted July 12, 2006 Very, very nice. What value caps are you using on the 3-way to roll-off the highs and on the tone pot? I have been thinking about converting a T-51 to an Esquire myself.
straightblues Posted July 12, 2006 Author Posted July 12, 2006 Very, very nice. What value caps are you using on the 3-way to roll-off the highs and on the tone pot? I have been thinking about converting a T-51 to an Esquire myself. I am using 47 cap and a 3k resistor. If you need some detailed wiring diagrams I can get them to you just PM me.
straightblues Posted July 12, 2006 Author Posted July 12, 2006 that pine body in cool too, whats that doing to the tone? The pine body is suppose to give it a little bit rounder sound. It still has the snap of ash but the note kind of roll off nicer than ash. I can see why they went away from pine though. It is way too soft. My guitar is a couple of days old and I already have several dents. It is going to be a relic in no time at all.
