I am looking for a early 80's Floyd Rose (off an old Kramer or something) in black & it has to NOT have the Fine tuners in it. If you got one for sale or know where one might be shoot me an e-mail.

Thanks

Good luck...I worked for a Kramer dealer in the mid 80s, we sold guitars and loose trems, and I can't recall ever seeing a non-fine tuner Floyd in black.

All the prototypes and the first prod run of Floyds (non fine tuner) were chrome.

On Kramers, black hardware was reserved for the pretend "U.S." stuff, chrome for the Focus and Striker guitars.

The first generation of Striker guitars were the only ones that used non-fine tuner Floyds, and those bridges were chrome. The Focus guitars used fine tuner Floyds in chrome.

If you have seen a non-fine tuner Floyd in black, it would be more likely that someone shot it with flat black Krylon at some point in its life.

Thanks for the info. I was not aware that they did not come in black. I might just go for a chrome one & have it powder coated or plated.

I've got a mint condition chrome Kahler trem w/fine tuners on my 82 Blitz that BCR Greg is returning to sustainblock ... professionally installed in the 80's

I'll let it go for the price of the sustainblock which is $125.00 ...

I realize this is NOT what you're looking for ... however if someone has a project in mind I thought I'd throw it out there

Otherwise its going to EBAY :P

The guitar I am working needs a NON -fine tuner Floyd in order to look right for the period I am going after.

I have one. Email me and I'll try to get you a photo. I was actually gonna toss it on eBay but have been too damned busy to get pics taken... Don't remember if it has the arm or not.
