Thanks for the pics, CM-

Couple a questions...

Do you remember what pickups you ordered the guitar with? Also, somebody asked if there were any mods? I'm thinking no mods, just wanted to verify. Last but not least, how would you describe the neck profile? (I'm pretty good about talking necks on Strats and Teles... less good on Hamer Standards.)

Again, Thanks!

I remember that one-was a really good one too! Bone stock as I recall.

Dang, that's a purty one. Shame some geek scribbled all over it with a Sharpieâ„¢.

The guitar is, as of right now, still available.

I've been doing my best to explain the guitars condition in response to several questions. Obviously the guitar is not new, it is 15 years old. There is more evidence of handling wear than there is evidence of playing wear. There is an indentation on the back of the guitar and a gouge ("gouge" is such a brutal word) better said an indentation that runs up the back of the guitar. It is not possible to see it in photos, but it is there. The hardware has tarnished and the screws that secure the pickups have gone from black to rusty black. Not a big deal, but it all needs to be disclosed.

With all of that said, it is a great guitar. I actually spent some real time playing it yesterday in response to a neck profile question. This is one of four Standards that I own and without question, the only Standard that I have that plays as well is the Zandard custom order that Kurt was kind enough to sell me. Thanks, Kurt!

If I don't have a buyer today, I'm just going to keep it. I'm guessing Hamer put some extra mojo in this one when they made if for Chris. It is that nice. Thanks to all for your email inquiries,

Joe

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe that the hardware is nickel instead of chrome, hence the tarnishing. I'd think some Flitz or Simichrome paste would brighten that up.

The scratch on the back was actually done between Hamer and when I first received it. That happened at the dealer's, and I was given the option for $100 off the price or wait for a new one. I opted for the cash back and the ton of cool free stuff he tossed in with it.
