fade2grey Posted September 12, 2006 Posted September 12, 2006 Here ya go, boyz.... my first post as well....Hamer Special P90 in tv yellow on the evilbay...
princeofdarkness56 Posted September 12, 2006 Posted September 12, 2006 Can't go wrong with that. Plug it in and let her rip.
fade2grey Posted September 15, 2006 Author Posted September 15, 2006 Hmm... no idea why it got moved, considering that it's not my guitar for sale... Anyway, it sold for 911 bucks!!!! wow....
Pieman Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 Somebody wanted that guitar real bad to pay that for it The highest-priced Special I have seen. You can buy some nicer Hamers for less than that, and you can buy some really nice Hamers for a bit more. To each his own
black magic Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 I am personally taken a back a little from some of the prices used Hamers are bringing in and that is why I haven`t bought any lately. Jack.
santellavision Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 Why are you surprised? Have you seen the ridiculous prices vintage guitars are getting? I sold off all my vintage stuff a few years too early. I got scared when all the 'relic's started showing up. I sold my Near-mint '53 Goldtop for $7,500. about 10 years ago. And I was happy to get that. Then, recently, I saw a beat-to-crap one sell for $38,000! Ouch!
black magic Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 I guess you are right. I just don`t think of Hamer as high priced for vintage stuff. My buying days for them may be over for vintage Hamers. Wow, did vintage Paul prices soar!! Jack.
jesse_d Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 Wow, I've tried to sell my cherry red one just like it and in as nice of shape for $600, and there were no takers. Still have it, if anyone's interested.
kanegon Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 weren't we complaining about how under-valued Hamers are in the market?got no problem with the double standard of prices between ebay and fan forums, let's keep it that wayeasy for me to say, both mine are "players", but one day i swear i'll get one of those super porn topped custom beauties - at an HFC price hopefully!
BTMN Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 I'll not be suprised if this is relisted. That price seems high enough and the bid pattern such it might be bogus buying or the buyer simply kept outbidding himself. I have almost done that. Only my armchair obsevations.

Well said! I've thought this and heard this a ton. We want our own little house band that kills but never hits the bigtime. Well, I think people are finally wising up to the fact that most mass produced guitars are fast food quality and Hamer's been making a custom shop quality guitar on the cheap. Party may be over. I'll be bummed but isn't it about time?
hamerican gigolo Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 It's about time that used USA Hamers got the respect that are their due. That includes a higher price, especially from a seller's standpoint.
