It's cocky!The older vintage more narrow Sunburst headstock is even a bit cooler, wish they'd bring it back.Although I will not complain. DON'T CHANGE A THING YOU HEAR ME!Now here are some brands with ugly headstocks;Ibanez, most modern five string basses, Heritage guitars (good guitars though),Yamaha guitars,Epiphone,& many more. Hamer holds up great in the competition. Timeless simple design.

Obviously, the Hamer version is elegant to perfection, but reversed Ibanez and Carvin headstocks are pretty easy on the eyes. There was a reverse headstock Ibanez RG neck thru in a shop around here last year, I passed on it because it had neck binding, but maybe I shoulda picked it up...

wil50n Posted April 19, 2005 Posted April 19, 2005 I'm with Disturber, I've always preferred the longer, narrower headstock on the early Sunbursts over the shorter, stumpier version that came later. The Standard hockey stick is always cool....ok just another excuse to show it off !!
