ceeb Posted April 19, 2005 Posted April 19, 2005 didn't you see the warning thread about that one? That things been passed around more times than I can count.
Iced Dragon Posted April 19, 2005 Posted April 19, 2005 Now, I'll have to let my hair grow.... I don't have that problem but anyway :congrats!! Hope you enjoy it and if you don't... (hint)
belgian Posted April 19, 2005 Author Posted April 19, 2005 I was already thinking on you, Iced(and the big profit I'll make on it).
Iced Dragon Posted April 19, 2005 Posted April 19, 2005 I was already thinking on you, Iced(and the big profit I'll make on it). I was more thinking in terms of 'gift', 'present' or gesture towards a poor student, you know
belgian Posted April 19, 2005 Author Posted April 19, 2005 I'll let you look at it for free, playing is up to negociations. No, just kiddin'
El_Natoro Posted April 19, 2005 Posted April 19, 2005 Yep,That's the one I was looking at. I was going to bid on it but I saw your post in the other forum on how you were "on it" so I left it alone.Let me know how you like it as I am looking at these, also. And congrats!!
Iced Dragon Posted April 19, 2005 Posted April 19, 2005 I'll let you look at it for free, playing is up to negociations. No, just kiddin' No looking ?
Michael_ Posted April 19, 2005 Posted April 19, 2005 Maple, yummy. I had it on my watch list, I admit.
belgian Posted April 19, 2005 Author Posted April 19, 2005 I never had a Hamer shredder (I am more in Newport & artist's)What can I expect (I never tought I would score this one)? There were different pickups used in these (SD or Slammer) I've heard. What would be in this one ?
Iced Dragon Posted April 19, 2005 Posted April 19, 2005 They certainly don't mention "Seymour Duncan", but I don't know if it's mentioned on the SD's actually used by Hamer?
Hamer95USA Posted April 19, 2005 Posted April 19, 2005 Just scored this one !!!http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1 Hey belgian, Congratulations on winning your auction for the Hamer USA Centaura guitar. Way cool axe and your going to be blasting your roommates away for awhile. I also won an auction from the same auction house. I got a Hamer USA T-51 guitar!! Check this one out: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v610/Gui...97HamerT-51.jpg Guitar George
belgian Posted April 19, 2005 Author Posted April 19, 2005 T-51's are great, I have three but I didn't got them so cheap as you did, It took me 6 months to find the first one.Fantastic score !!!!I wonder if they all had the same original owner ?Already 2 out of 4 from that auction on the board !!!
Jeroen Posted April 19, 2005 Posted April 19, 2005 Hey Conrad! What the hell do you with a Centaura????? yeah I know playing it!It is so different if you are used to Newports etc.I have one too ofcourse, but I prefer my Studio and Vanguard....I just needed a shredder for the dive bombing parts, but thats all I am using it for.congrats with your new axe!!Jeroen
atquinn Posted April 19, 2005 Posted April 19, 2005 Cool guitar. I would have bid on it myself, but I'm extremely prejudiced against reverse headstocks. Ah well, more Cent's and Diablo's for everyone else I guess -Austin

Hey belgian, Thanks for the good word. I don't feel so bad that I spent that much on it then. I was going to buy Teleman's T-51, but it got away from me. I was digging the rosewood neck on it, but didn't like the Nashville Tele mod done on it. Things happen for a reason, I guess. T-51s don't come up for sale that often, so I had to move quick on this auction. I have reason to believe it came from the same owner who must have been a Hamer USA collector. The Special w/ P-90s, the T-51, the Centaura and the SS1 all came up on the block at the same time. IIRC, Lord of The Thighs got the Special w/P-90s, so that makes 3 out of 4. It must have been a tax , unemployment or an estate sale as this was a nice collection that just got sold. Guitar George
Epitheton Posted April 19, 2005 Posted April 19, 2005 Very nice score belgian!!!!I have a '91 with exactly the same cosmetics. The only difference I see is that mine doesn't have the hex tool holder at the back of the headstock. I find the burst' much prettier than the granite finishes they more commonly have.
jettster Posted April 19, 2005 Posted April 19, 2005 Sweet guitar!! Can't believe that it went that cheap, you should love it. I was watching it too but, it was hard trying to justify picking it up when I already have this one.
Nuclear Wessel Posted April 19, 2005 Posted April 19, 2005 Congrats, belgian! I was watching that one. That's a seriously classy looking guitar. And you got a great price. I saw another sunburst ash body Centaura go for about $200 more a few years ago.
belgian Posted April 20, 2005 Author Posted April 20, 2005 Now it goes to Rocketeria for a check up, a good setup (I never had a Floyd rose guitar, so I want to be sure it's OK) and then I comes over to me.And the price is in my eyes a bottomfeeder. On went away in Germany a couple of weeks ago, with a much worse cosmetic sight for about 450 Euro, that 640 $.
