crabby Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 Things are getting pretty tough around here , I didn't want to do this especially after "BGR Greg" told me that there were only 5 of these trans red ones made BUT as they say, "a guy has to do what a guy has to do" so it's now on eBay, here's the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...59319%26fvi%3D1 Here's a Picture: (more at the eBay link above)
crabby Posted March 23, 2007 Author Posted March 23, 2007 PayPal?Sorry can't do PayPal, I'll need a USPS money orderGuys, I tell ya' I hate selling this one BUT it's gotten to the point I have to get some cash for some other things, like bills and stuff like that ,,,,,,,,,,,, I know that somewhere down the road I'll think back and kick myself for doing this but I just don't know what else I can do,,,,, I mean I've had some other guitars up for sale for close to a month I think it is and nothing has sold yet , not even a decent offer,,,,,,,,,, come to think of it, no offer at all.One other thing that I forgot,, the case in the pictures is a Plastic SKB, nice BUT instead I'm going to include a like new Hamer Tolex case with this Duotone,,,,,, It's not a Duotone case so the guitar fits a little loose but not terrible and it's like new and a more expensive case than the SKB.
crabby Posted March 27, 2007 Author Posted March 27, 2007 Just a couple of hours left guys! Only 5 of these trans Red Duotones were made,,,,, you better bid while you can............
Lou Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 Looks like this great guitar stayed in the HFC!!! "Collarguy" was looking for a Duotone at the same time I bought mine. They are nice guitars.....
holLoWskull Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 Collarguy is a good guy. He's a pal of mine and an ex co-worker. We were just joking today how cool it would be if he won this baby and we could do a duet of Christmas song gigs with (now) his red 3-hole Duotone and it's 'cousin', my green 3-hole Duotone. Call it simply the "Duo-Tones" I'm glad he won this because I was the one responsible for him getting the USA Hamer Duotone fever....all's well that ends well.
BCR Greg Posted March 28, 2007 Posted March 28, 2007 Bring it with you next time you come down, it will be cool to see three red Duotones together.

It would look cool, but collarguy will most likely be riding shotgun down to PA with me to do so. I'm sure the man will be firmly attached to the red Duotone...I doubt he'll be letting that baby out of his sight. I'll bring the green Duotone and do the complimentary color thing with you guys Supposedly there's 2 other greenies out there somewhere besides mine, so maybe we can keep the red to green balance
tafkathundernotes Posted March 28, 2007 Posted March 28, 2007 Supposedly there's 2 other greenies out there somewhere besides mine, so maybe we can keep the red to green balance Now that would make a cool Christmas card!

I want to thank you all for the warm welcome. I have a few guitars (more than she knows) but this is my first Hamer. HolLowskull introduced me to these fine instruments early this winter and the search is finally over. I will treat her right. I will certainly let her partake in family photos. And now I must go practice and wait for the arrival. Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night

Bro Chris has a pic of that from a few years back that he used at Xmas. He's got the red opaque Sunburst that I got then traded to him then traded back for (love that guitar) and the green Duotone that I got from him and sold late last year (a really great sounding guitar).
