unfun 75 Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 So, the pickups pictured are not the ones that come with it, correct? Those look like Phat Cats. Did you keep the cream pickup rings on it?One more question, do you have pics of the neck repair?I'm very interested.thanks, john
David B Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 I had that one & sold it to Brooks. I had to force glue in the crack. It played fine even before the crack was repaired. It's solid.
unfun 75 Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 I dig it, but I think I want a sustain-block Special, instead.
Stokesdead Posted April 12, 2007 Author Posted April 12, 2007 They are two totally different beasts. Happy hunting ~Chris
Bernard from Belgium Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 pm sent for the 2 PU (DiMarzio + SD)
Brooks Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 that is a nice guitar, the dings look worse in photos than in person.
seeker Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 What's the neck like is it thin if it is I can't use the thin ones because they make my bible thumping wrist hurt more than you could imagine if you really could do you believe in punctuation no I don't it's for pussies like intonation.
black magic Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 If it is a 1994, it should be a medium neck as the Late 1993`s on had the medium necks as I have owned a few of these in the past. Very tempting this one!! Jack.
Stokesdead Posted April 15, 2007 Author Posted April 15, 2007 Its naked and hiding in the woodshed. She cryed out to me for new pickups and a makeover. ~CS
Stokesdead Posted April 16, 2007 Author Posted April 16, 2007 I need to sell more stuff if I am going to get me some new pick 'em ups. I have a 16 ohm Peavet Blue Marvel 12" speaker. And these things sound pretty dang good in a Classic 30. I'll take $25.00 for it. Pics: notice it has the ultra collectible date code LOL I just threw that pic in for shits and greggles. Real Fender brand mint green Strat pickguard. Believe it or not I used to have a Stratocaster before the Hamers came along. I have been holding on to this since '02 thinking if I get another Strat I won't have to shell out the $30 bucks or so these retail. I'll take $15.00 for it. Thanks guys, Chris Stokes
