I have Special needs.

I have a black 1993 Hamer Special P-90. I am selling it, but I don't want to. The only reason it's got to go is that my sore old, well, middle aged, hands just can't deal with the skinny neck.

I tried to get a Heritage H137, but I don't like it half as much as my old Special (although I can play it without discomfort.)

So, here I am, doing what I should have done in the first place: ask the Hamer fans for help.

FWIW, while I'm new here, I've done LOTS of deals on the Gear Page, and have a 100% eBay rating under crazyquiltarts.

Thanks.

nice.

Thanks -- it is. And, if it didn't make my hands throb in a most unpleasant fashion, you'd have to pry it from those hands when they were cold & dead.

Since I'm not cool enough for the Gear Page site, how about details like price, condition, case/no case etc..? Thanks. Z

You too eh??? must be a Minnesota thing.

CQ,

This will almost certainly be for sale later today or tomorrow. Has a nice vintage neck carve and a couple unique features not seen in any other mahogany special that I know of (the pickguard and wraparound bridge). If you're interested, drop me a PM.

Austin...don't do it man, step off the ledge :P Seriousy though, that is a sweet guitar and it's looking like it might be the last guitar ever made specifically for a Hamer Open House tour...you absolutely sure you want to sell off a cool Hamer relic like that?

Well, I'd prefer not to, but it's got to go. See this thread for details.

That looks like my old Special. I sold it on ebay a few years back. You don't happen to live in Tejas do you ??? It was a seriously nice player but I had the chance to reclaim an 81 that use to belong to me and something had to go.

Sorry...got distracted. Damn ninjas. :)

The guitar is currently on eBay.

So, for that matter, is my Artist Korina HB.

There's someone not cool enough for TGP? Damn...they let me in there. :) Anyhoo...it's a '93, and generally in very good shape, except for some delamination of the finish at the neck joint. It's finish only. The rest of the guitar is clean, and the frets have plenty of life left on them. The original case is included. I'm the first & only owner, so I know it never belonged to anyone else. There are no bids on the guitar yet, and the starting bid is $499. There are a bunch of good sized pictures on eBay, as well as a fuller description.

Austin, that cherry Special is still haunting me. I wish you'd put it up for sale before I picked up a Heritage H137. The Heritage is nice, but Hamer's are nicer. And I'm a sucker for cherry red Specials; I wanted one when I got mine, but I had the choice of black or black.
