JohnnyScarp Posted April 24, 2007 Posted April 24, 2007 Have to move one out to bring one in.My church gig Duotone on consignment at BCR.Great guitar - served me well for 6 years.http://www.bcrmusic.com/inventory.asp?category_key=9
ZR Posted April 24, 2007 Posted April 24, 2007 What? a 4-holer Duotone? ; )How were the electronics changed? Why was the switch removed?
JohnnyScarp Posted April 24, 2007 Author Posted April 24, 2007 Not a fourth hole. There is a black plug there, it has a finished look.Switch removed = no bleed electric to acoustic and reverse. Now totally separate electronics.A very practical mod.Control acoustic on/off with acoustic volume.Same mod on my other six string Duotone. My 12 string is scheduled for the minor surgery next.
geoff_hartwell Posted April 24, 2007 Posted April 24, 2007 "A very practical mod." I totally agree. I had that switch disconnected on a Duotone Custom and when I got my Custom Shop Duotone, I had them leave that switch off entirely. It's a much cleaner look, and the "acoustic/electric/both selector" is not only redundant (because you already have a dedicated acoustic volume knob), but nothing's worse than ripping a solo and going to switch pickups and accidentally hitting the switch and cutting off the electric- instant emasculation
Guest Meshuggah Posted April 24, 2007 Posted April 24, 2007 Like they're expecting Black Sabbath and you give 'em John Denver!! Actually. That would be cool.
Eric Weston Posted April 24, 2007 Posted April 24, 2007 DAYUM!!! I feel stooopid ....that's a great mod. I'm on it.

I hate the selector switch.
